Customer Review Summary
Coffee and homemade cake draw most reviewers, and the cakes are the most specific praise: a moist lime and courgette cake, a huge raspberry cake, a big fruity cake and a carrot cake that hit the spot. Several call the coffee good, and one notes a good choice of cakes with gluten free options usually available. A brie and cranberry toastie and a bank holiday lunch also earn praise, with the food and service both called excellent. Staff come up repeatedly as friendly and lovely, and one reviewer says the ladies could not do enough. The one clear complaint comes from a reviewer who found the cappuccinos lukewarm and the jam served with the scones tasteless, though that person still called the staff pleasant. Several reviewers close on the bright tables looking out over the plants of the garden centre.

“Very disappointed after reading all the good reviews, our coffee's were lukewarm, the jam for the scones was tasteless, even though it was Bonne Maman. Nice atmosphere in the cafe sitting looking out over the garden centre and the staff were pleasant. Not worth visiting for coffee and cake.”

“Really enjoyed The Potting Shed, the team and it's central spot near all the windows make it a warm and welcoming cafe. I thoroughly enjoyed my coffee and big fruity homemade cake. Its a great spot to sit in and enjoy the garden centre too. Ive always found Toomers has really good quality plants (at a reasonable price!) We'll definitely be back!”
