Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often return for the coffee, singling out the americano, mocha and lattes, along with a long list of flavoured syrups, and describe generously sized mugs at fairer prices than the big chains. Close behind are the cakes, with the spiced cinnamon bun, cookies and croissants named, plus freak shakes, crepes and a puppachino for dogs. Several mention vegan choices, a kids corner, comfy seating, natural light and dog-friendly seating, and some say people come to work on laptops. The main complaint concerns food availability and consistency. One regular says breakfast rolls often aren't available until about lunchtime on Monday mornings, when there is only one server, though the owner later described arranging daily supplier deliveries. Another found only two pastries left around 9am and discovered the pancakes were prepackaged rather than cooked on site. One first-time visitor waited over an hour with a muddled takeaway order and never received the croissant. Another reviewer noted the kids corner can occasionally make the place noisy.

“Been going to this coffee shop for a few years, sadly having to find other options as it is very hit and miss if they have the ingredients to make rolls in the morning. Especially on a Monday morning there is only one server and no breakfast rolls are avaliable until about lunchtime. Staff are really great. Food tastes great (when they have it). Management of the supply chain, and the management of staffing levels to be able to produce the food to be on offer is lacking. This could be so much better if the staff had the time to make the food offer so it is there when the café opens. Management issues need to be resolved. Edit; Met with the owner, very nice chap, he as advised me he has arranged with a local supplier who can support daily deliveries if required, I hope this resolves the problem!”

“Asked for a latte, a pistachio croissant and 2 donuts to take away. Reiterated it three times to the blonde girl on the till as she couldn’t grasp it. Paid almost £13 and was told to sit down.. the girl bought over two donuts on plates so I reiterated they were to take away. 5 mins later I got a latte.. pretty sure it had a syrup in it as was very sweet. Was there over an hour and never got the croissant.. I didn’t want to ask because I genuinely don’t think she would have understood what I meant. Disappointing for my first visit.. not as if it was busy.. or were short staffed.”

“Wonderful coffee shop. Excellent tasting coffee at competitive prices, particularly as its served in such generously sized mugs! Particularly enjoys the mocha and lattes. Lots of different snacks and cakes available. All the staff are friendly and helpful. Family friendly atmosphere, dog friendly, usually very quiet and relaxing to stop in on a work break. Has a kids corner which can occasionally make it quite noisy but will suit some. Love the music too and the generous natural light coming in. The employee discount for educators at the nearby school is a lovely touch. Free wifi available and many come to work on laptops.”

“4/2/25: What a difference a couple of years makes. 2 pleasant, welcoming female staff members. Coffee and ambience both good. Will now visit more regularly. The female staff member couldn't have been less welcoming. Shame because the coffee is good. Visited late morning of 20/6”
