About Gustoso

Gustoso is a cafe in Swindon with a gluten-free menu that covers sausage, bread and three cakes. The kitchen cooks those items separately, and the staff point out cross-contamination risk, for example with the hash brown. Breakfast comes as a half breakfast, a full English or a veggie breakfast, and Colombian Eggs sit on the menu too. Ciabatta and muffins are served, and cakes can be taken home. Dogs are welcome, and water is provided for them. Tables can be booked for groups.

Customer Review Summary

Breakfast is the draw here, with reviewers pointing to the Colombian Eggs, the full English and a veggie breakfast, and one praising a muffin. Coffee gets a mixed reception: a latte is called lovely and one reviewer calls the coffee great, while two describe it as basic or just okay. Staff come up in nearly every review as friendly, welcoming and kind, and one reviewer says nothing was too much trouble, including water for their dogs. Several describe the food as fresh and homemade, and one calls the prices reasonable. A gluten free diner says the kitchen flagged a cross contamination risk with a hash brown, cooked it separately and repeated that it was gluten free when serving, and noted three gluten free cake options. The one negative review describes an order the waitress forgot to put through, which meant a long wait for a basic breakfast, and blames a poor system for taking and processing orders, though the staff were apologetic. Another visitor took cakes home after lunch.

“We had a lovely lunch here. I went for the half breakfast as they had gluten free options including sausage and good bread. I was going to have a hash brown but they let me know that had a cross contamination risk. They were really attentive and cooked it separately and repeated it was gluten free when they bought it out, which I like. My husband had a ciabatta which he also enjoyed, and we took some cakes home with us. They had 3 gluten free options for cakes too! Definitely will be back.”

“Faultless, been going to Gustoso for a few months now, the food is always fresh, tasty and served with a smile. I would recommend anybody who has not tried Guestoso, to do so.. you will not be disappointed.”

“We visited at the beginning of the month and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They provided water for the dogs, food was perfect, service was spot on. Going back for more Colombian Eggs for sure, delicious 😋”

“Had a lovely breakfast at Gusto in Swindon. The food was fresh, tasty, and well presented. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and provided excellent service throughout our visit. The atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable, making it a great place to start the day. I will definitely be returning and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good breakfast in Swindon.”

“Unfortunately I had quite a poor experience. The Waitress forgot to put my order through so waited over an hour for a pretty basic breakfast. Staff were nice and apologetic, but they have a bad system for taking and processing orders. Coffee was also quite basic. Im a big supporter of local cafes and restaurants opposed to chains, but im afraid I wont be visiting again.”
