Customer Review Summary
Tapas evenings draw the most praise, with reviewers singling out the Andalusian chicken stew, prawns, chorizo in red wine and meatballs in sherry and sage sauce. Dishes arrive a couple at a time, which diners say keeps the pace unrushed, and several describe the owner as welcoming and chatty without being intrusive. Drinks come quickly, and a bottle of wine is called very reasonable. Close behind are the all-day breakfasts, described as hearty and cooked fresh, alongside a steak baguette, a mushroom and cheese quiche, a huge coffee cup and a double chocolate cookie nearly the size of a plate. The caveats are mostly about breakfast and coffee. One reviewer found the sausage, mushrooms and hash browns greasy, and another paid separately for toast, beans and a poached egg that was over-poached, with toast that was not toasted and a burnt-tasting coffee. A third called the coffee mediocre and the croissant overdone, and noted the room felt crammed with only one toilet. One reviewer wished for vegan sausage or bacon options, and another had a late breakfast order apologised for in person.

“Popped in on the off chance and was lucky to get a table for two. Staff are lovely and make you feel at home, food(tapas) was very nice and very well priced for the quality you get, will definitely be visiting again to try breakfast and tapas”

“The service, venue and atmosphere were unfaultable, and having recently moved to the area, we were looking forward to trying a new place. Everything on the menu both food and drink are reasonably priced. We both ordered the breakfast, and it looked lovely, but sadly it was incredibly greasy, like the sausage and mushrooms had been deep fried for a bit too long alongside the hash browns. I used the napkins to mop up some of the grease, and perhaps it was a one off. I ate the toast, eggs and bacon, but left the rest. The tapas menu choices look great, and the selection available behind the counter look fab too. We’ll be back again, and look to try something else.”

“We went for a wonderful brunch today and had such a lovely experience from start to finish. We ordered the all-day breakfasts along with a steak baguette, and everything was cooked fresh to order and came out perfectly. The breakfasts were hearty and well-balanced, with each element done just right, while the steak baguette was especially impressive—tender, flavorful, and served in a fresh, crusty baguette that really brought everything together. For drinks, we enjoyed Bucks Fizz and coffee, which complemented the meal beautifully. The Bucks Fizz was refreshing and well-balanced, and the coffee was rich and satisfying—just what you want alongside a relaxed brunch. What really made the visit stand out, though, was the service. The staff, as always, were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive. They made sure everything was just right and created a warm, relaxed atmosphere that made us want to stay longer. Overall, it was a fantastic brunch experience, and we’ll definitely be returning again soon. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great food, lovely drinks, and excellent service.”

“Thought I would take my family here for a pre-mother's day treat. Needless to say we won't be coming back. The prices are high for food yet the quality was very poor. The coffee tasted mediocre at best. The hot chocolate was good. £14 spent on a coffee, hot chocolate, latte and a ham and cheese croissant that was overdone. Service was ok though the gentlemen serving us said we weren't aloud to sit on the empty stalls for no given reason. Instead we had to fit our family around a table with two chairs? Only one toilet available. Not suitable for anyone disabled or those with babies and pushchairs. There wasn't alot of room to move between the tables and it felt very crammed. In the event of a fire or emergency this would be challenging environment to vacate. The style appears cluttered, messy and ill equipped for families and those with disabilities.”

“We went for Tapas last Saturday night, with two friends. On arrival we were greeted by the owner (Simon) and shown to a table, he was very welcoming and chatty. We ordered drinks and chose a selection of dishes from the menu. The drinks came very quickly and then the food came in the traditional Spanish style, couple of dishes at a time. It’s a great way to do it if you ask me as you can chat then eat a bit then chat rather than being rushed. Simon, dropped for a chat with to see how we were getting on, lovely bloke, stayed long enough so it wasn’t a cursor food ok? But not so long as to be intrusive. Can not rate the food highly enough, from my point of view the Prawns Pl Pl were to die for, we all thought the Andalusian Chicken Stew was out of this world, to be honest I’d be happy with a big bowl of that and baguette, my god it was good. This place knocks spots of the competition. As it’s relatively new, it’s not packed out, which it should be!!! Bill was extremely reasonable”
