Customer Review Summary

Diners repeatedly single out the fillet steak, whether as fillet Rossini or fillet au poivre, describing it as cooked beautifully and, in one account, "utterly sublime." Close behind, the braised pork belly and starters like pate and the mushroom soup with madeira draw consistent praise, alongside desserts such as chocolate crumble and tiramisu that reviewers call "so good." The wine list also earns mentions, with the house red and Picpul de Pinet both singled out. Service is described again and again as friendly, attentive, and accommodating, even handling a group of twenty on a busy evening without delay. A few note it runs a little pricey, with one reviewer flagging a £3.95 charge for sauce, and parking near the restaurant is called a slight problem by another. One diner, who said she can only go out rarely due to illness, returned specifically to celebrate a birthday and an anniversary, ordering the fillet Rossini and fillet au poivre for the table.

A wonderful meal ! An unassuming and down-to-earth restaurant that produces such amazing meals. One of the best meals I've had recently and I often eat at restaurants in Toulouse. A real find. I will be back.

I can honestly say my expectation was blown out of the water. Nestled along and a completely underwhelming and rather drab street in the centre of Swansea is Bouchon De Rossi. My wife booked a table for us and my Mum who we were taking to the theatre, across the road, for a pre-show supper. The food was some of the best I have have enjoyed; I started with Braised Belly Pork and they had Lingustine Thermidor - both were incredible. The Fillet Steak Rossini was cooked medium rare, to perfection and was utterly sublime. The House Red was good enough to drink all day but the Picpul de Pinet was magnificent. Lisa and her team we friendly, welcoming and accommodating. I'm thinking of booking to see another show at The Swansea Grand Theatre just to give me reason to go back to Bouchon De Rossi. This is easily the best restaurant in Swansea and is absolutely worth the journey.

Thank you yet again Bouchon for a wonderful evening. As I can only go out rarely due to illness, when I’m well enough I want to go somewhere I’m guaranteed to enjoy. We recently came to celebrate my birthday and my daughter/son in law’s anniversary. We had starters of pate (I’d been dreaming about it) and pork belly, no clue how you get the pate so smooth and delicate. For main course 2 had fillet au poivre and one had fillet Rossini, all cooked beautifully and delicious. For dessert my son in law had the chocolate crumble (something he’d been dreaming of) and my daughter had tiramisu, both were so good. Never had anything but wonderful food and service here, we will continue to come especially for our special celebrations.

I came visited recently for the first time and I really enjoyed the food. It was easy to finish and very filling which is good. I am happy to say I will …

Ahhhh what can I say about a place that I had been aching to go for the ages! When you hear good things and you expect good things you often run the risk of being let down. These guys had no intention of doing that. Considering it was a company meal, with a group of 20 on a relatively busy Tuesday evening, you'd probably expect a slight delay here or there, but we had everything served on point and as desired. The food was fantastic and the service too. It says alot that when the mains got served the group of 20 of us went to near silence. No we're not religious and so wasnt saying grace, it was just THAT good. Thank you bouchon, I will be telling everyone about you. The dessert was just a work of art and required a photo to be taken.

How this listing is sourced

Where the data comes from
Name, address, hours, contact details, amenities, ratings and review counts come from the business's publicly available profile data — not from the owner and not from paid submissions.
How it stays current
Every listing is re-checked on a recurring crawl, and anything reported as wrong is corrected at the source rather than patched on the page.
How it is ranked
Placement is never sold. Every business on the page is ordered and compared using the same public signals, so an owner cannot pay to move up.
