“We visited Sunday for the 7-course tasting menu and honestly, every single course was exceptional. The first two dishes disappeared before we even thought to take photos, which probably says everything you need to know. The Sea Trout Gravladax with smoked trout and horseradish mousse was fresh, delicate and packed with flavour. From there the meal just kept getting better. The barbequed plaice was beautifully cooked with crispy squid adding the perfect texture, and the tomato beurre blanc tied everything together perfectly. The veal fillet was incredibly tender and the rolled cheek lasagne, it was one of those dishes you end up talking about afterwards because it was just that good. The roast duck breast and leg course was another standout! Perfectly cooked, full of flavour and complemented brilliantly by the beetroot terrine and hispi cabbage. Desserts were just as impressive as the savoury courses. The lemon meringue pie with lemon verbena ice cream was light, sharp and refreshing, and the chocolate & pistachio rocky road with crème fraîche ice cream was the perfect rich finish to the evening. What really elevated the experience even further though was the service. Lyndsey was absolutely fantastic! The perfect balance of professional and personal. She was warm, welcoming and genuinely helped make the evening feel special. Her knowledge of both the menu and wine list was excellent, and she was happy to share little personal moments too which made the whole experience feel relaxed and memorable rather than overly formal. The food alone would have been enough to make us return, but the service made the night truly stand out. Easily The best dining experience we’ve had in Swansea and we’ll definitely be back.”
