  “Fantastic location and service but the Sunday lunch was a huge let down. A small selection of 3 veg and overly crunchy potatoes which when you chewed you thought you'd break a tooth. The beef and chicken were good. The waitress and service were outstanding, she really went over and above to look after us. Not sure I would eat in the restaurant again. Will try the pizza outdoors next time.”

  “Elena made my experience that much more special. I've honestly had the best service I've experienced in a while. Elena is an amazing member of staff and deserves every staff award available. My mom had a brilliant birthday and it was mainly down the service provided by Elena.”

  “Wow this place! What a find, had the delicious crispy shrimp sandwich and boy was it great! Stunning view and the pizzas looked amazing too. I will definitely be returning. Staff were very helpful especially when the app wasn't working so thank you very much for the help! The only niggle or gripe for me would be that you have to pay extra to order on the app/QR code... Not quite sure thats right..”

  “Very disappointed with our visit. We were required to pay a £90 deposit for six people because we were told the minimum booking size was nine. When we arrived, the restaurant was almost empty, there was no table reserved, and we were simply told to "grab any table." After sitting down, nobody came to serve us. I went to the bar to order drinks but was told there was no bar service and to use the app. The app wouldn't work because there was no mobile signal, so we connected to the Wi-Fi, but the app still didn't work. We were then told to order drinks from an outside hut instead. After around 20 minutes, none of us had been given a menu. When we asked for one, we were told to look for one ourselves. We couldn't find any, and eventually a member of staff located just two menus for the entire restaurant. When the drinks arrived, four were served in proper glasses with ice, while two were served in cheap plastic cups, which felt more like a festival than a restaurant charging £6+ per drink. The same applied to condiments – ketchup and sauces were brought out in plastic containers, which made the whole experience feel rather budget. To be fair, the food itself was very good and the quality was what we'd expect for the price. The staff were all friendly and polite, but they clearly lacked training and guidance. Simple things like clearing empty plates, checking if we needed anything else, or providing menus without being asked were all missed. For six people, sharing two starters, six mains and around three drinks each, the bill came to £285. At that price, we expected a proper restaurant experience, not something that felt less organised than a Wetherspoons. I spoke to the manager before leaving and gave some constructive feedback. To his credit, he agreed the service wasn't up to standard and made a small adjustment to the bill. The scenery is absolutely stunning, and this venue has huge potential. Unfortunately, based on our experience, the service and organisation simply don't justify the prices, and I wouldn't choose to return.”

  “Afternoon tea, kindly gifted to us by friends,. The food was excellent as was the bottle of bubbly that came with our afternoon tea. The service was very very good - our young waiter, Jack, was very friendly, professional and helpful; he is a credit to the establishment. The position of the restaurant next to the Bracebridge Pool was lovely with a view over the pool and to the woods.”

  “Although the atmosphere was great, the food was below average considering the price. We tried the pizza, burger, and steak sandwich — the pizza was the best option, while the burger and steak sandwich lacked flavor and felt overpriced. Service was excellent, and the staff were very kind. Overall, I’d recommend this place more for drinks and atmosphere than for food.”

  “When the sun is shining on a bank holiday weekend, there’s no better lunchtime come mid-afternoon terrace to sit, relax, and enjoy good food and cold drinks in Sutton than The Bracebridge Terrace. With the backdrop of Bracebridge lake, and mix of people out to just chill and spend quality time with friends and family, it’s the perfect antidote to the usual hustle and hassle of a busy city centre on a sunny day. Mark manages a tight operation with a young team of staff eager to leave punters with a positive experience.   “Atmosphere is great, perfect location however the service was slow, no one came up to us- Everytime we wanted to order as the barcode wouldn’t work we had to get up and get someone. Once we were seated we waited 15 minutes and no one came up to us. Again we had to go and grab someone. Food was ok, we paid an extra £2 for truffle and parm fries which had no truffle on just grated parm which was disappointing. Once we ordered drinks they took another 16 minutes to come out. Very slow service however to give it to them it was very busy due to the weather. It does say to book but you can walk in, we were lucky to have a table quite quickly as we didn’t book”

  “We had a voucher to use at The Bracebridge and, as it was a lovely morning, decided to stop by for breakfast and coffee. Unfortunately, we were told that the voucher could only be used if we had pre-booked a table. This felt like a strange and restrictive policy. Afterwards we realised it is mentioned in the small print but it’s not something I’ve ever encountered before. We decided to stay anyway and paid for our breakfast. The food was fine, but it was disappointing to have coffee served in a paper cup alongside it, which took away from the overall experience. And to top it off, there was no brown sauce available at 10am on a Saturday morning. While waiting for our food, I tried to book a table on the terrace, only to be met with a message saying bookings must be made 90 days in advance. Even when checking dates beyond that timeframe, the same message appeared. When I asked the waitress, she explained that it’s not actually possible to book terrace tables so it’s unclear why this option exists on the website. This means that if we wanted to use our voucher for a meal on the terrace (our preferred option as we usually have a dog with us), we’d need to book a table inside and then request to sit outside. It feels like an unnecessarily complicated process just to use a voucher for something as simple as breakfast and coffee. The Bracebridge is in a beautiful location and has so much potential to be something special, but unfortunately this is the second time that we have left feeling quite disappointed by the experience.”

  “Mark looked after us like family, the restaurant was comfy and clean and the food was stupendous. Presentation was a sight to behold, flavour combinations were spectacular and portion size was ample. We loved the ambience, being lakeside on a cold winter day.was lovely. We will be back.”
