“I went here for my birthday for both breakfast and then later for dinner. Breakfast was fine, it wasn't very busy and the food and service were spot on. Skip to dinner and it was a completely different story. The bar area was pretty busy but the restaurant area wasn't too bad. I ordered steak and chips and upgraded my steak and got a second 8oz steak. I didn't wait very long for food but noticed that they had forgotten to put the onion rings on the plate. I though id just mention it when they did a check back, but nobody ever came to ask if everything was ok with the meal. I actually called out across the dining room when he came to deliver food to another table, but although the table of people he was serving was able to hear me, he apparently was not. I also wanted to bring up the fact that the steak was extremely tough and difficult to to eat. Eventually I had to go to the bar to complain about the food. I asked for a refund on the upgrade as I the first 8oz wasnt enjoyable and I had no interest in trying to tackle another 8oz of inedible steak. The manager said that she was sorry about the quality and that recently the steaks are hit or miss and gave me a refund on the upgrade. But when I think about it, thats not acceptable. Firstly if you cannot garuntee the quality of a product it should be taken off the menu. Secondly, check backs should be carried out shortly after customers recieve their food to make sure there's no issues. Thirdly they didn't offer to refund parts of the meal that should have been included but was not. Personally If I were the manager, I would have refunded that entire meal, not just the steak that I knew wasn't up to standard and wasn'table to be eaten. Especially knowing that parts of the meal was missing and the customer had recieved no customer service during their stay.”
