Customer Review Summary
Curries draw the strongest praise, led by the Mirchi curry, whose heat one reviewer calls the perfect kind. The Sri Lanka curry and a peanut butter and cheese tikka masala special, described as out of this world, are also named. Several happy customers describe delicious food every time, friendly staff, a clean building and a window panel for watching the chefs cook. Opinion splits sharply on quality, though. Reviewers describe a chicken madras and bhaji with no taste, a curry that tasted of madras powder, and another curry that was bland and short on sauce. One found the Shimla as hot as a phaal, too intense to taste anything, and another found the wraps stingy with meat. One household reports a very late, mixed-up order for the third time, a serious problem for a diabetic husband who needs regular mealtimes. Two reviewers also object that payment is cash only. One calls the naan so thick and stodgy it went in the bin, and says the chips were the best part of a disappointing meal.

“There wraps are nice quality, but they are incredibly stingy with the meat. A wrap should be shaped like a cylinder with meat packed in it. My wrap was more like a flatbread Litterally cause lack of meat put in it. Avoid if your hungry”

“Not your typical curry house, thankfully. Ordered here for the first time. Had the Sri Lanka and the Mirchi curries. Both curries were fantastic, especially the Mirchi (translated "spicy"). It was hot but the perfect kind of hot that can be so hard to get right. As someone who cooks homemade authentic curries, and doesn't typically like restaurant-style curries, I thought it was one of the best curries I've had for a while. Looking forward to trying their other versatile dishes”

“Ordered a meal tonight from cinnamon kitchen it's the worst bhaji and chicken madras I've ever had neither had any taste and the curry just tasted like hot madras powder had been poured into the sauce it was awful and I won't be going there again . So disappointing. I'm wondering if it is under new management as its cash only now which isn't good as most people don't carry cash. If there standard gets any worse I can't see it lasting long.”

“Ordered Shimla main meal. Described as fairly hot ? I regularly have very hot spicy food and this was a lot hotter than fairly hot. It is in area of a phaal dish. I’ve had Phaal many times before and this was definitely in same heat / spice region. Mainly chilli 🌶️ based and unable to taste food due to the heat intensity.”

“Not been here in a while but went tonight for convenience as I live local. The curry was bland and didn't fill the container it was in, so was lacking sauce. The naan bread was really thick and stodgy so was inedible and went in the bin. The chips were the best part of the meal which isnt really a testimony for any Indian takeaway. Such a shame as the quality used to be good here - but I won't return. They also only do cash which is a bugbear of mine!”
