  “Lady who posted menu broke my letter box. My door is only month old, rang up to complain and was told it was already broke (wasn’t 20mins before) and if I wasn’t happy to ring the police and hung up on. Very bad customer service”

  “To be fair the house special curry ok..too many onions though...fried rice ok ..spare ribs in "honey sauce" really?..4 ribs burnt to a crisp in some kind of coloured urine.. seriously I've been eating Chinese takeaways since 1975 and they must be the worst ones ever.so Chinese to go .never again..😡”

  “We've ordered from here many times but the last 2/3 orders haven't been that good... we order at 5pm every time and the last few times the chips have been crap. I actually think they are warm ups from the day before. They are really dry very crispy and hard...”

  “Ordered the pizza box. Chicken in batter burnt, spare ribs burnt, spring rolls burnt, chips we okish and so was the rice. The Sweet and sour sauce was just awful. Threw 95% of it in the bin. Avoid at all cost”

  “Most disgusting food I’ve ever tasted in my life, do you call them soft noodles for reason or them packets out Aldi 39p? What waste off 40£! I would never ever recommend here to anyone worst Chinese in Sunderland by far lucky am not taking further action absolutely terrible and would not feed that stuff to homeless never mind customers absolutely shocking must be ashamed off your self’s !”

  “I have never read the reviews for Chinese to Go before but I have just read some of them and can't believe how negative some are. We have used this takeaway for about 6 years. We have ordered food when having other family members here and they have really enjoyed it. You can only rate by your experience that you have and I can honestly say we will be sticking with this Chinese takeaway. Service is nearly always quick and the staff are very pleasant. We can only speak as we find and be honest of our experience.”

  “Fried rice was overly gelatinous and goopy, simply mush. Never seen or had such bad fried rice ever before - truly shocking. Char Siu didn't have a strong Chinese BBQ flavour and was quite watery, but overall portion size was good. Salt & Pepper chicken was tasty, but the chicken pieces were hard and dry, they need coating in the bits, and more bits are needed in the meal. Don't think I will be ordering again for the price unless quality is improved. Delivery was quick, and the addition of the fortune cookies was a welcome surprise.”
