  “Amazing drinks selection here. The staff are absolutely lovely, very accommodating and friendly. The locals are all very welcoming. Great atmosphere. The food 11/10, locally sourced and cooked to perfection, great portion sizes and a very fair price for what you get. If you haven’t been here before, go. Recommend booking in advance as it’s always busy and that speaks volume in itself. The landlord even managed to squeeze us in this evening and mate - thank you so so much. Had a brilliant time.”

  “My wife and I visited The Vine Tree Inn for our first wedding anniversary. Our cabin host, Jo, booked us in—and thankfully so, as it was their Greek Night and completely sold out! The pub is warm and welcoming, ideally located just a stone’s throw from our cabin. The staff were polite and attentive, and the garden offers brilliant views. To start, we shared the pita with hummus dips and the halloumi. Both were divine, especially paired with the garlic mayo. For mains, my wife had the lamb gyros and I went for the chicken souvlaki. The meat was cooked to perfection, beautifully presented, and tasted fantastic. The entire meal was exceptional value for money. If we’re ever back in the area, we’ll definitely return!”

  “We had such a lovely experience here. We arrived just as the kitchen had closed, but the staff kindly let us order some food anyway, which we really appreciated, especially as it was our anniversary. It made our evening extra special. It was beautiful sitting outside on a warm summer evening, and the atmosphere was so relaxing. We both absolutely loved our meals – everything was delicious. Thank you to the team for your kindness and great hospitality. We’ll definitely be back!”

  “I decided to pop in to this pub, whilst walking the Cotswold Way. Because it is situated on a hill, the pub doesn’t look much from the road. However, first looks can be deceptive! No sooner had I walked in, than I was treated like a long lost friend by not only the lady behind the bar, but also the landlord. It was a genuinely warm welcome and really made you feel at home. I had the burger and it was delicious. If this was my local, then I would be in here all the time!”

  “This is an outstanding Cotswold pub. The food is superb and great value when you consider the quality. Brilliant beer and wine on offer and friendly staff too. I'd struggle to find a single criticism. We will be back!”

  “This is honestly one of the best pubs I’ve ever been to. We’ve popped in twice before just for drinks and always had a great time, but yesterday was our first time trying the food and it completely exceeded our expectations😊 I had the dill pancakes with salmon and prawns, and they were absolutely delicious, beautifully cooked, and a really generous portion. They’re incredibly lucky to have such a talented chef because they are doing smashing job! My partner loved his meal as well, and the drinks were just as good as on our previous visits. The quality was genuinely on par with what you’d expect from a high‑end restaurant! Everything felt very fairly priced (actually cheap!) especially considering the quality. The staff were so lovely - warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made our evening even better. The interior is charming and cozy, with a lovely fire going. It honestly feels like such an underrated gem. We’ll definitely be back😊! Thank you.”

  “Hiking the Cotswold Way I decided to step off the trail for a cheeky half and was blown away by this gem of a pub. The taps included a range of crafty goodness and the atmosphere one of country inn vibes (including hanging dried hops), which by default lands this place in the 'yes' column for me, but the service was effervescent, genuine and really set my experience apart. Really pleased that I made the stop!”

  “We came here for a family evening meal during the week and booked for 6pm. It is out in the countryside through windy roads but a nice car park and welcome when you arrive. A good choice of places to sit inside and outside and a nice atmosphere plus excellent service. A small selection of cask beers and wines. Also a small selection of food options with no ‘specials’ of the night - the menu is what you get… We chose starter and main course each plus a glass of beer or wine. The quality of the food was good, with the quantity being a little on the small side. The total came to over £30 per person which is not cheap. Overall a nice, pleasant experience…”

  “Excellent service, delicious food and great drinks. We came here before going up to the viewing platform. We ordered rump steak, fish and chips, fish sandwich, the sweet potato curry and the bacon sandwich, everything was delicious, and good value. The views are incredible from the rear pub garden, and was a really lovely pleasant stop for lunch.”
