  “As someone who has eaten in and taken away from here many times, I have never come away disappointed. The staff are always lovely and the food is always as advertised (or better). We had the privilege of being tended to by Kenza (not for the first time) and the service was as smooth and enjoyable as last time. I'll never not recommend this place!”

  “Got there just after opening on a Sunday lunchtime, got sat down no problems. Food arrived very quickly and was delicious. Portion sizes are honestly HUGE. They could probably get away with charging less and making them smaller! Loving the 90s dance anthems in the background, too 😁”

  “Visited Chicken George Jnr Hitchin last night and honestly, it did not disappoint 🔥 The food was absolutely on point — everything tasted fresh, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. The chicken in particular was cooked perfectly: crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and flavoured & seasoned just right. Portions were generous too, The staff were friendly, efficient, and really on it with the service, which made the whole experience even better. Great menu with plenty of tasty options to choose from on menu as well. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to — highly recommend & well worth travelling too, if you’re craving proper, quality flavour-packed chicken 🙌 Awesome 👌”

  “CHICKEN FOR THE PEOPLE! Couldn’t recommend this enough, I live about 30 mins away and have been multiple times with friends it is that good! Stick to the chicken it does not lie, I would advices order a 1 pc chicken and asking for a breast piece (they are huge). I love the buffalo, Thai and garlic wings those are my favourites. Garlic ones are very very garlicky. If I was getting a meal would get a burger but double it up and put it in a wrap, so nice! People involved are so nice and welcoming, happy to help with anything.”

  “We had the Parmesan buffalo munch box for £14.99 and they kindly did a special red dragon munch box for £14.99. The portion size is very generous and the Mac and cheese was amazing. I found the flavours in the buffalo Parmesan very over powering, a little too spicy for me, I couldn’t get away from the spice! however the red dragon was better!”

  “Simply incredible, to push out the quality of the wings and burgers they do at the speed they serve is impressive. Highly recommend and will be back! Service was great too, often over looked these days. Well worth the 2 hour journey to visit!”

  “After a long anticipated wait we finally were able to visit Chicken George Jnr in Hitchin for a birthday meal with friends. After following them on social media for a while and studying the menu in detail for at least a week we were very excited to visit ... And we were absolutely blown away! Service on arrival and throughout was friendly and attentive when needed. The food was absolutely INCREDIBLE. We decided to go for the pig out sharer and then add a couple more portions of wings and loaded tator tots. We also bought a selection of sauces. Firstly the fried chicken is easily the best I've ever eaten. Big, juicy portions that are very crispy but not greasy at all. The chicken strips were massive and the accompanying garlic and parmesan sauce was so moreish. However the main highlight was the wings. The flavours were outstanding and absolutely made the whole experience. I can't really pick a favourite because they were all incredible but for me the standout was the biggies buffalo. Easily the best buffalo wings I've ever eaten. Others we had were the honey garlic, Thai me up and Jerk coconut and lime. We are already looking at when we can go back and even just writing this review has left me hungry. 150% recommended!!”

  “No joke this is some of the best fried chicken in the country. If it wasn't a 90 minute drive from me I'd be there every week. Service is good, food is literally 10/10. I have no complaints, lived up to my expectations which were already high. Chicken George is the king of chicken. Please open up in London!”

  “The atmosphere and the person who served us was exemplary. Unfortunately the same cannot to be said about everything on the menu. The burgers were quite nice but some of the chicken were too salty. For the price, one would expect more. Hopefully it was just a bad batch and other have had a better experience”

  “Chicken George in Hitchin is a must-visit for those craving delicious, crispy fried chicken. While the service can be a bit slow at times, the food and atmosphere more than make up for it. The buffalo wings are a standout, with their perfect balance of heat and tang. On my most recent visit, I was pleasantly surprised by the efficiency of a staff member named Remy. Her quick service was a refreshing change from the usual wait times. However, it's important to note that this is not always the case. Overall, Chicken George offers a fantastic dining experience with its flavorful food and inviting atmosphere. Despite the occasional service hiccup, I would highly recommend giving it a try.”
