  “No longer sells food. Staff told us next closest decent food place, but they don't have access to update the website. Looked like a great pub regardless.”

  “Brilliant pub. A pub which has great entertainment week in and week out. Open mic nights on Thursdays, live bands at the weekend, comedy evenings and karaoke nights. A place to go if you want a good night out or just sit around with friends and family and chat the night away.”

  “Great to have this place as a pub. Great too that Ed is running it; he's a great landlord. Didn't stay for any food although I believe that may be available. It's a pub, not a restaurant so expect a vibrant pub atmosphere, decent beer selection and decent locals. No steak knives on view. Sports on TV. 3 dart boards. Pool room. Snug. Large outside smoking area with additional covered seating area for the rainy British summer.”

  “Unlikely to return. Food was really nice, waitress was lovely. However one guest was coeliac and it was pretty heavily ignored. Waitress had informed us kitchen would accommodate first meal came out with gluten dressing and onion rings. Sent back came out replated. Asked for a fresh steak as it had been contaminated and small amounts of gluten can cause enormous discomfort. Next plate came and looked okay, steak was over cooked and suspiciously dry for a fresh steak but assumed nobody would be bad enough to just leave it under a light to give the impression it was fresh. Paid, walked just pst the petrol station and immediately vomited. Nice sauces though”

  “It was our first time eating here but we'll definitely be going again! The food was delicious, staff all very friendly and the restaurant area is lovely. My husband and I both had the Balmoral Chicken, which we really enjoyed. He had chocolate brownie for dessert, it was a huge portion, good value for money! We didnt sit in the bar but it looked very cosy”

  “Never been to trafford centre, but found ourselves there late one evening looking foe a place to eat. Took a chance to grab a bite to eat here. What a great surprise! They were so accommodating. We had the lamb chops and spicy rice. Something simple, but it was just delicious. Polished our plates off. I saw others ordered huge portion of delightfully prepared foods . Just looked so good, we will stop past again as we enjoyed it so much.”

  “Staff seemed really happy and talkative at the bar. The food looked and smelled excellent. Unfortunately, after being shown to our table and ignored for over 40 mins, watching all these great dishes coming and going around us was very frustrating. We paid for our drinks and left for a curry in town, receiving great attention and prompt food service. Also they apparently don't service none alcoholic beer either.”

  “Bit of a wait on the food, but service and the food was excellent. Wouldn't hesitate to use again. Big portions , and fairly priced. Drink prices are what you'd expect these days. The black pudding, haggis combination was good too ! Had the small mixed grill, and chicken strips to start.”

  “Had an amazing experience! The steak was cooked well, the onion rings were crispy and the steak burger was exceptional. My girlfriend and I were really pleased with both our meals, and I'll definitely come again if I find myself in Stafford again.”
