Customer Review Summary
The complaints are about the kitchen and the wait. One reviewer waited close to an hour for food, was told it would be about five minutes, then waited a further half hour for poor quality dishes. Others found the Christmas dinner average, the daily menu portions small, the hunters chicken sauce a thin paste, and the sticky toffee pudding a plain sponge with a smear of sauce. One diner with severe allergies was glad staff explained the preparation in detail.

“Went along for meal as had received promotion leaflet through the door, staff were friendly and welcoming and managed to seat us outside on a beautiful day with no trouble. Food was excellent and good value for money. Puddings were delicious 🤤 staff remained attentive through out our visit ensuring we had a great meal and all our needs were met, definately will be back as all 4 of us thoroughly enjoy our meals and the service”

“Sunday afternoon, myself and wife popped in for a quick snack and a couple of drinks, staff were excellent tbh, and a nice quiet pub. Starters we had were mushrooms and wings and they were ok. Mauns were off the daily menu and all i can say is they are definatly portion controlled, not big at all. Do i think worth the money? Not sure. Would i go back? Maybe yes but not for food”

“I had a really disappointing experience at this restaurant. While we were seated quickly, that was unfortunately the only positive part of the visit. After being seated, we waited nearly an hour for our food. When we finally asked a member of staff where our order was, no one seemed to know what was going on. We were then told it would be “about 5 minutes,” but the food didn’t arrive for another 30 minutes after that. When the food eventually came, it was very poor quality and definitely not worth the long wait. On top of that, the staff were unwelcoming and not at all accommodating, which made the experience even worse. Overall, it was a very frustrating visit. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to others.”

“This is a great pub that really delivered-The food was excellent- well presented, full of flavour, served with generous portions. Everyone said how much they enjoyed their meal. The pub has some interesting pieces of decor that adds to it character which created a nice warm and inviting setting. Its also a dog friendly pub, which is great if you want to bring your dog along. Not loads of parking but enough. Would recommend and would visit again.”
