About Bruach
Bruach is a family-owned gastropub at 326 Brook St in Broughty Ferry, Dundee, with dining across two levels and mezzanine seating that overlooks the bar. The kitchen cooks Scottish dishes with global influences, with steak pie among the mains. At the bar, the Steak Frites comes with a sauce and a side, and a charcuterie board sits on the lite bites menu. Drinks include a cocktail menu with seasonal specials and a selection of whiskies, and a boozy brunch is served with prosecco. A private dining room gives groups a space of their own, and the pub holds regular quiz nights. Dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Steak is the dish reviewers raise most, from a steak frites with a good crust and a sauce and side included, to steak and venison at dinner and a steak pie. Close behind are the duck, risotto and gluten free fish and chips, with the charcuterie board from the bar menu also singled out. Cocktails get mentions too, including the seasonal Monkey Gone Nuts, along with a whisky selection. Many praise friendly, attentive staff, and the refurbished interior is called comfortable. Reviewers also note that dogs were welcome, and a group of 25 celebrated an anniversary with efficient courses. The caveats are specific: one boozy brunch table had to chase a bottle of prosecco, and plates sat uncleared with no offer of more drinks, even though the place was quiet. Another found the crumble and affogato let down by tasteless vanilla ice cream, and one noted dints in the wall and a lower chair. Quiz nights close the praise, with a quiz host described as having a great sense of humour.

“Great venue. Staff were lovely, very attentive and allowed the use of the upstairs room for our party with a dog. Spent several hours at the restaurant and felt in no rush to finish, would definitely book again.”

“The refurbished Bruach looks great and is really comfortable. All food orders were received in a timely way, good portions and tasty. I prefer salad in my burger and the 2 chutneys made it a bit sloppy. The gluten free fish and chips was fantastic and the menu catered for dietary requirements. Really impressed.”

“OK so tonight had a ' sneak preview' of the newly refurbished Bruach... Needless to say we weren't disappointed.. It looks fabulous... As you enter you are blown away by the style, openess, newness and general quality of the decor and arrangement As usual with the super staff were given a warm greeting Taken to new tables and mega comfy chairs The menu options were exciting, variable and enticing Between our table we had a whole mix of mains options all of us said the quality was excellent ( I had steak followed by bread and butter pudding..would highly recommend both) Food quality truly excellent I have attached some photos We were served by Megan..who was really professional, attentive, friendly and very engaging ( a credit to Bruach) I would highly recommend the Bruach for a visit for Quality of food, excellence of staff and terrific ambience!”

“We were a group of 25 celebrating my and my husband's golden wedding anniversary. Everyone raved about the food and the staff were so attentive. All the courses were served efficiently and anytime we needed anything Joe and his staff were there to make sure everything went smoothly. We had a super day (as did all our guests). They certainly made our special day one to remember. We could not fault anything. Thanks everyone.”
