About White Horse
White Horse is a pub at 51 Southsea Terrace in Southsea, with a large terrace at the front that faces Southsea Common. The Sunday roast is served as a carvery, with unlimited vegetables and potatoes and a Yorkshire pudding on the side. At the bar, real ale and beer come on hand pull, and wine is poured as well. The pub sits right by the seafront, so parking is hard to find nearby.

“A hidden gem in Portsmouth. The Sunday lunch is phenomenal (unlimited veggies and potatoes) and the Yorkshire pudding is one of the best I've ever had the pleasure of eating. Big outside terrace which is perfect for al fresco dining. Great for a family meal.”

“Nice pub with a big outdoor seating area friendly Staff and some nice real ale on tap, I didn't try the food as I had already eaten but it looks and smells good, next time I'm in the area I will pop in for lunch.”

“Had an amazing Sunday roast here, a very decent carvery, meat and fresh veggies all good quality. Would recommend that you book though as it does get busy. Only downside is finding somewhere to park as it's right by the seafront so a bit costly.”

“Refurbished pub with food. Didn't eat as the menu looked very unappealing. Good service and a decent range of beer on hand pull and wine. Nice sunny courtyard facing onto the Southsea common. I'd go again.”

“We visited here to watch one of the England games during Euro 2016. On this specific day there was a special food event where a chef prepared a Japanese food menu. The food was very good, as was the pricing of it. We all enjoyed our night, the pub was very atmospheric and the food was the icing on the cake. Visited here many times in the past during the summer for their excellent garden area at the front of the pub which faces towards Southsea Common.”
