Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the house beer, with the daytime deals and the choice of pilsners, ales, stouts and IPAs drawing the strongest praise, and one reviewer who joined a brewing course says the food and beer were free all day and bought a keg home. Food gets mixed treatment. A Sunday roast with chicken and pork is called superb, and the double brew burger and ale pie are described as good if not excellent. Close behind is service, with several reviewers crediting a server or bartender for IPA recommendations and for going out of their way, though another describes unfriendly staff who cleared plates without a word. The complaints are specific. One diner got a Spicy Mac and Cheese Burger missing its jalapeños and crispy onions, with waffle fries arriving lukewarm. Another found the pollock fish and chips thin, with chips that were not hot, and the workspace offer is described as only available if pre-booked. That fish and chips diner was given dessert for free.

“We had a fabulous evening at Brew House and Kitchen. Marshall looked after us with recommendations on the IPA front and then we had lovely gins and rums. Marshall was so friendly and welcoming and just a really nice chap. Really glad we popped in tonight.”

“We had such a lovely experience, and our waitress, Amber, was absolutely amazing! She was so friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. Nothing was too much trouble, and she made sure we had everything we needed. Her service really stood out and made our experience even more enjoyable. She’s a real credit to the restaurant, and we will definitely be coming back again!”

“Workspace lunch deals are a great way to bank some small wins into your week and Southsea Brewhouse & Kitchen is my favourite. A highly recommended spot to focus on goals while being nourished with food and great company. The vibe is just right for working in comfort, with refillable drinks, low level music and friendly and helpful staff. You can work from a beach hut with a power socket, WiFi and garden view without the glare. Priced at £10 (including lunch), a workspace lunch offers savings on what you might normally spend on food and work travel, with the added comfort of feeling at home.”

“5 stars for their unbelievable daytime deals on a fantastic range of delicious beers. I only had the pleasure of trying 2x different ones. Next time I hope it'll be 5. Just wait until I tell my London people about the prices, they'll think I'm a liar.”

“I have never had such a disappointing fish and chips anywhere. It was the thinnest piece of fish. I asked what the fish was and was told it was pollock, apparently a budget friendly fish. The chips were supposed to be triple cooked. They were not hot and lots of little bits. My partner like his ribs and he got the better deal. We ordered dessert and were given them for free, so goid customer service.”
