Customer Review Summary

Reviewers consistently praise the savoury snacks and sweets, with Sev Puri, Chole Bhature, Vegetable Samosa, pani puri, and jalebi singled out as standouts. Many describe the food as excellent value, noting lower prices than comparable shops, and several call the samosas among the best they have had in years. The tea also draws praise for its fresh, homemade taste. A recurring complaint is the lack of proper seating, with only a side board to stand at, and the shop gets busy at lunch and on weekends. Hygiene concerns surface in a few reviews: one reviewer describes a staff member continuing to use a dropped spatula for dhokla until asked again for a clean one, another notes the eating table is not cleaned regularly with bins placed directly below, and a third found old, inedible ingredients in the dabeli. One reviewer warns the shop is cash only and suggests bringing cash to avoid a last-minute ATM run.

Taste is good, but my only concern was the hygiene. When I asked for dhokla, the spatulatongs accidentally dropped, and the staff member continued using the same spatula. When I requested a clean one, he said it was okay to use, so I had to ask again before it was changed.

Usually this place is quite good but I tried the dabeli today and it was obvious that the ingredients used were old , the filling , the nuts were really old, it was inedible and we had to throw it away. :( makes this place a bit untrustworthy now .

I love the savoury snacks at both the Wembley and Southall branches of Prashad. Everything that I have tried has been excellent, packing far more flavour than any snack at this price point usually does. I particularly love the Sev Puri l, the Chole Bhature and the Spicy Masala Fry Vada Pav. The customer service is not very good as the small and cramped shops tend to be overtly busy and staff are rushed off of their feet. There are no chairs or tables at the above branches although there is a side board where one can stand and eat at, otherwise it is a takeaway affair.

Tried the karela sabji from Prashad Sweets… and wow, I didn’t know sour could reach this level. Called them to complain, and lady said, ‘Karela is supposed to be bitter.’ Oh, thank you! Next time maybe I’ll drink vinegar and call it a meal …

We usually shop at the Wembley branch, but during today's trip to Southall we got excited seeing Prashad Sweets and decided to stock up on chaat supplies, pani puri, papdi, sev, etc. …
