  “I called to place an order, which should have been very simple, but the man refused to take my order and told me that I didn’t speak English. I have never had this problem before when ordering, and I have always been able to place my orders without any issues. The ironic part is that he seemed to have difficulty understanding English himself. Very disappointing experience and completely unnecessary.”

  “I came very tired from holiday and tried to get some chinese food and the food is very poor sorry I mean VERY VERY poor because I paid nearly £40. Atleast in the future think about customers and the person who takes the orders atleast he is nice but that doesn't mean that it's ok for the food to taste bland and I genuinely think that the food has been stocked in the freezer for a week or 6-ish days.”

  “Just had my first Chinese order from ocean pearl & what an absolute treat it was 😁!!! from the first call to place the order to collecting it in the shop the service was just brilliant Brian the owner was so friendly, polite & happy , not to mention the food was super delicious, piping hot & flavoursome & all for a very reasonable price Best Chinese Ive had in a long while , everything was spot on 👌 Will definitely be back 😁 Thankyou ocean pearl 👏👏😋😁”

  “My dad used to come here years ago and was instantly recognised - super friendly and the food was incredible! Fresh, delicious, hot, big portions (everything literally full to the brim)! We will definitely be ordering from here again ☺️”

  “I would give it six stars if I could! Bryan is so kind, friendly, fun and accommodating to customers making the experience so enjoyable. The food is unreal, my daughter loves the salt n pepper chips annd curry sance. We go here regularly the chicken balls are amazing. Thanks Bryan your service makes us keep coming back! :)”

  “Used this place for years and years! But honestly the last couple of times have been disappointing, none more so than tonight's unfortunately that's it for us we wouldn't return Brian is lovely a proper treasure but whoever is in the kitchen is really letting the place down the noodles and rice were so stodgy held the Shape of the cartons, the need in the curry looked like it had been cooked on a light bulb really grey, and the chips were stale. The famous taste is nomore sadly.”

  “Really efficient, friendly service. Food was ready without too much of a wait and was really tasty. Salt & Pepper chips were crispy not soggy and really good. The chilli honey chicken was amazing. Definitely recommend.”

  “Excellent reviews took me there. We drove 20mins from New Castle to there and I would say Brian is really helpful with the order. We were not disappointed at his recommendation. Very good value for money and extraordinary customer service. If you are living nearby, you are the lucky ones 🍀 👍Thanks, Brian for the extra shrimp crackers. Appreciate.
