“opped into this little independent coffee shop on a rainy afternoon and it did the job without blowing me away. The place has a nice cosy feel — exposed brick walls, plenty of plugs for laptops, and some comfy armchairs by the window that are great for people-watching. I went for a flat white and it was solid: decent crema, not too bitter, and the milk was properly steamed (no scalded taste like you sometimes get in chains). My partner had a cappuccino and said it was average — good foam but nothing special in terms of flavour depth. Pastries looked fresh; we shared a pain au chocolat that was flaky and buttery enough, though it wasn't warm. Service was friendly but a bit slow when it got busy — one barista handling everything, so there was a short queue. Prices feel about right for the UK high street (£4-ish for a large coffee), nothing outrageous.”
