About Kurdish Kebab House
On High St in Smethwick, Kurdish Kebab House is a Turkish restaurant and kebab shop serving both dine-in guests and takeaway orders. Naan is grilled on an open fire, and the menu leans mainly toward Kurdish dishes alongside Chicken Shish served with rice, salad, and naan. Lamb dishes and Mixed Shawarma are recurring items, and aubergine in special sauce is offered as a side with steamed rice, with bulgur also available alongside meals. The restaurant takes walk-ins rather than reservations and opens daily. High chairs are available for families with young children dining in. Parking near the restaurant can be limited, so those driving should plan accordingly.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return most for the lamb, with one calling it exceptional and another ordering four lamb dishes that all went down well. Close behind are the shawarma and chicken wings, with a mixed shawarma, BBQ chicken wings and a chicken shawarma wrap each named as favourites. The aubergine in a special sauce, the rice, the bulgur and the salads also draw praise, along with a mix platter takeaway. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly and helpful, and one server let a table taste dishes to help them decide. Several say the Kurdish flavours feel authentic and the value is good, and one notes that mainly Kurdish diners eat there. The complaints are specific. One reviewer found a lamb shish portion small, with less rice than an earlier chicken shish, a salad with little garlic sauce and a naan of raw dough. Another received the wrong order and reports no customer service. Parking is the one other issue raised. One reviewer says the shop is clean, and another calls it a local favourite.

“If you want authentic Kurdish food at a great price this is worth a try. It is not a place for a romantic meal out or a whole night out. However for quality delicious food was worth a visit. You know it is good when it is mainly Kurdish eating there.”

“The food was delicious, really well cooked and tasty. We ordered 4 lamb dishes, everything was soooo good!! The rice and bulgur were perfect same like salads. Even if we didn't know what to order, the staff was really helpful and gave us to taste to help decide.”
