About Seafood Cafe

Seafood Cafe sits at 10-11 Grand Parade in Skegness, a seafood restaurant open daily. The menu centres on dressed Cromer crab served with salad, lemon, and brown bread, alongside a crab sandwich and a mixed fish platter. Pots of cockles and pots of prawns round out the lighter options, and a selection of cakes, including a cream tea for two, is available alongside coffee and tea, with decaf charged extra. Outdoor seating under umbrellas gives diners a shaded spot to eat off the main road, and the entrance and outdoor tables are step-free, making the space workable for visitors with mobility needs. High chairs are on hand for families with young children, and dogs are welcome at the tables outside. Reservations are recommended given the daily turnover of covers.

Customer Review Summary

Crab salad draws the most repeated praise, with reviewers describing it as fresh, "no pretensions," and served with lemon and brown bread, alongside a crab sandwich and dressed Cromer crab that several call a highlight. Close behind, the coffee and cakes get consistent mentions, with cream tea for two, sausage rolls, and a scone with tea singled out as favorites. Service is mostly described as friendly and quick, with clean surroundings noted more than once, though several reviewers flag pricing as a recurring irritant, citing a crab salad listed at £9.99 online but charged at £12.99, an extra £1.50 for a fruit shoot swap, and a charge for decaf tea plus a rounded-up bill. One reviewer describes a mixed fish platter as "formed fish" on a cardboard plate and called the server miserable, though they still said they'd recommend it. Several reviewers mention returning specifically for the coffee and cake selection.

“Dont like being charged extra for decaf tea,it costs no more to buy, then rounded up the bill,to there benefit, also u have to tell them how many sugars u want, and no enough milk left,no wonder next door is busy, and this 1 is not, learnt lesson today”

“Extremely expensive for a cardboard plate of formed fish. Server was miserable. Fiver for a small pot of prawns and £15 for mixed fish plater that was formed fish. I would recommend”

“Amazing place to come for a bite, there’s shaded areas under the umbrella but if you want to sit in the sun there’s that option also. From the tea to the scone to the fruit shoot it was sublime. Very accommodating service as they swapped my tea for a fruit shoot however … they charged me an extra £1.50 for the fruit shoot. Big fan on the consistent colour theme throughout 10/10 for the marketing team, wheelchair accessible and fast service. ☀️🏖️”
