About Chapter Tep
Chapter Tep is a Vietnamese restaurant on Wellington Parade in Sidcup, where the spring rolls are made by hand, including the lettuce-wrapped Goi Cuon. Noodle dishes sit alongside them, with beef pho on the menu and a big bowl of cold vermicelli noodles with grilled pork. The kitchen also runs a separate grill and wok section, so the menu reaches beyond rolls and noodles to cooked-to-order mains. Tables are set indoors.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often single out the beef pho, with the lettuce wrapped spring rolls (Goi Cuon), the big bowl with vermicelli noodles, the prawn and mango salad and pork with rice close behind. Cold noodles with grilled pork and hand made spring rolls also draw praise, and one reviewer found the sauce could use more tang. Many describe friendly, helpful waiters who gave recommendations, generous portions, and prices that compare well with nearby places. The outdoor area with heaters and a table decorated with fresh flowers for a birthday are mentioned too. One reviewer wanted more choice of beers, and another was not a huge fan of the On the Wok dish. The sharpest complaint comes from a group of four who say their mains arrived very late, starter plates sat on the table after finishing, and staff seemed busier with takeaway orders. The kitchen blamed limited wok capacity, and the noodles were bland and dishes came out at different times. The drinks were taken off the bill. Another family recalls staff staying past opening to fit them in.

“Accidentally found this place cos the one we originally wanted to go is closed. In fact, this is a much better choice! The food is authentic and delicious, staff is friendly, decor is nice. The beef pho is a must try!! Also the grill.”

“Just an impeccable dining experience. Firstly, the atmosphere was very enjoyable and calming, with much character packed into every corner of this restaurant. The service wasn’t bad either, but the food(especially the pho) was just incredible, with really good prices compared to other nearby places. Even though I don’t live nearby, I would definitely come again.”

“This restaurant is a little gem. First time last night and we couldn’t fault it at all. The two waiters were polite and helpful, didn’t mind us asking for recommendations and the food was amazing. Highly recommend it and we’ll definitely be going back”

“A really lovely place to eat. I went with my son for an evening meal and we weren't disappointed. Portions are generous and the food tasted great. Personally, I would like more choice of beers, but that is me being pedantic. Service was friendly and extremely helpful. If you live nearby, you have to try this place.”
