As i originally came from Saltaire the meal at Shimla Spice was a real treat. A treat also to be with my family. Shimla Spice made my weekend. Thanks to all at the restaurant.”

  “Shimla Spice, Shipley – Brilliant meal & seamless service! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect—seated straight away with absolutely no wait, which was such a lovely start. The atmosphere feels warm and welcoming, and the service was prompt, polite, and attentive throughout. We ordered Fish Karahi and Chicken Achari—both were absolutely delicious! Full of rich, well-balanced spices and deep, authentic flavours—fish was tender and fresh, while the achari had that perfect tangy, aromatic kick we hoped for. Every bite felt carefully prepared and bursting with taste. Great food, smooth service, zero hassle—would highly recommend Shimla Spice! We’ll definitely be back.”

  “We've been going several times a year to eat here and it doesn't disappoint. I had the Chapli kebab and my partner the chicken pakora. For mains I had fish curry, which is where the excellent service came in. I asked for a recommendation as to how best to have my fish (lots of choices available). Uzzi said he would have it made in the way I would like, particularly as I prefer mild and not spicy desi style food. Boy was it good! It was perfect, exactly the way i wanted. He did say, if it was too spicy, I could change it immediately. Lovely atmosphere, food and service, highly recommend 👌”

  “We travel from Sutton In Craven to come to this curry house because the food and the service is great. The spicing in the curries is better than the Aagrah in my opinion and the side dishes as well and there’s always enough to take home with you 👍”

  “Another amazing night at Shipley Shimla Spice. Fourteen of us had a lovely meal there as my relatives were over from USA. The service was 100% as always. Can’t wait to be back in January for another celebration at Shimla! Thankyou to all the staff for looking after us.”

  “Quickly welcomed by a friendly face and looked forward to trying as it was recommended. I had the mix grill and cheese and garlic Naan. The mix grill wasn’t to bad, quite fish heavy and not much chicken. Sadly it was a little dry. The Naan was like a triple cheese pizza, what happened to a traditional nan seasoned with cheese and garlic. This was more like a garlic cheese pizza. Overall ok for the money just needs some tweaks :)”

  “Best Asian cuisine in the town. I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The customer service was outstanding—staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. The ambiance is absolutely beautiful, with elegant seating and stunning decor that creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. Highly recommend for anyone looking for both great service and a visually charming dining experience!”

  “Really poor curry the menu is vast it’s not possible to cook so many dishes and have distinct flavours I had the madras with poor chicken and nothing like a madras sauce I’ve ever had the popadoms were not good or crisp despite being kept in a hot cupboard… the mixed starter was ok as was the rice … we had the family garlic nan which was doughy and partially uncooked at the edges and no discernible garlic … Aagrah round the corner is much better a la carte or buffet or better still individually cooked dishes at Mughals on Leeds Road”

  “Staff are really attentive, cannot fault it. Food is always consistently good when me, friends and family go always leaving with full happy bellies. Atmosphere is great, a really nice dining experience and has been busy each time I've paid a visit. Price is not that bad in my opinion, especially since you can get delicious food with good service, I would say it's typical average pricing?”
