About Mary's Pantry
Breakfast leads the day at Mary's Pantry, a cafe on Birley Moor Road in Sheffield, where the full English anchors the morning menu. Sandwiches and wraps carry the rest of the order book, alongside cold plates such as ham salad. The counter takes walk-ins, with no bookings, and food reaches the table quickly. Anything on the menu can be eaten in or packed to take out, and orders placed over the phone are ready for collection, which suits customers eating off site. A step-free entrance keeps the room reachable for visitors with mobility needs, and high chairs are on hand for families with young children. The cafe has recently changed hands and runs under new owners. It opens daily during the daytime. Parking nearby is limited, as the cafe has no designated car park.

Customer Review Summary
Breakfast is what reviewers return for, with the full English and the wraps singled out most, and sandwiches and a ham salad praised as fresh and lovely. Several say the food is well cooked, served red hot and fast, and that prices are very fair, with one saying more cafes could sell at these prices. Staff come up repeatedly as friendly, and the atmosphere is described as relaxing and welcoming, with regular customers and local shops on the same road. A number of reviewers say the cafe improved after new people took it over, after food had gone downhill under the previous owners, and one adds that it looks cleaner. The sharpest complaint is from a recent reviewer who says sandwiches have been wrong every time since the takeover, and the phone makes a clicking noise when they try to ring. Their order placed by phone was wrong on arrival, was remade after they repeated it in person, and was wrong again at home, so they drove back a third time. Another reviewer notes limited parking and no designated car park. One regular stops in for a sugar boost after getting a tattoo.

“Since being taken over the last few weeks sandwichs have been shocking. The phone makes a clicking noise when you try to ring. Every time we have ordered the sandwichs have been wrong. For example today we ordered over the phone. Order was wrong upon arrival. We retold them the order in person and asked them to remake them which they did. We got home opened the sandwichs and the order was wrong again. We had to drive back to the shop to get our order redone for a third time. Such a shame as this place used to be lovely.”
