About The Dove & Rainbow
The Dove & Rainbow is a rock and metal pub at 2 Hartshead Square in Sheffield, set up for drinks before or after gigs in the city centre and at the Arena. Draught beers and ale are on offer, and a jukebox and a rock DJ supply the music. A stage hosts live music, and graffiti covers the walls. The only food served is pot noodles, so guests bring in their own from places like KFC or Greggs, or have a delivery sent to the bar. The pub was formerly called the Tut and Shive.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often describe a welcoming rock and metal pub where friendly staff and affordable drinks hold up even when the place gets really busy. Close behind is the music and look of the room: a good jukebox, a true rockers crowd, and graffiti all over the walls that one visitor found a nice change from the boring pubs nearby. Draught beers are called nice and great, though one reviewer wants a more varied beer range and notes it isn't a polished venue. The complaints are blunt. One calls it rough inside, another felt it was grotty and had seen better days, and a Fringe visitor found no live music or any music at all while other bars had bands. Two daytime visitors found it quiet but suspect it rocks when live music is on. Longtime regulars recall it from its Tut and Shive days and are glad it is still going. One wheelchair user describes staff and patrons who helped them in and made them incredibly welcome.

“This pub is one in a million, the staff are professional and friendly, even when under pressure as it can become a really busy place. Its well priced and welcoming and I would recommend this place for everyone to go. Best place in sheffield. Will be back next year”

“Not much going for it, it's rough inside. No live music or in fact any music. Went to the Fringe and most bars had live music but nothing here.”

“Friendly Rock and Alternative Pub in Sheffield City Centre. Ideally located for pre and post gig drinkies for events in the City Centre and at the Arena Jukebox during the week, Rock DJ Friday and Saturday nights Our closing times are minimums - we are often open later if there are people in... We don't serve food (apart from pot noodles) but you are welcome to bring something in with you, including from Maccy Ds, KFC or Greggs etc, or order it in from Just Eat or similar (other apps are also available)”
