  “First time using this place, I ordered Singapore vermicelli extra spicy and Salt and pepper chips. When I got the food home and tried it, the Singapore vermicelli wasn't extra spicy, it was extra bland, no flavour or spices of any kind whatsoever, hardly any meat at all, but had mushrooms? The chips were stated in the menu as being dry, ok fine, but these were really dry and not that nice. I couldn't be bothered to drive the 6 miles back so just binned it all. I certainly won't go back there”

  “Had smoked chicken it’s soooo dry even my dogs struggled to eat it. Definitely unpleasant every thing was looking pre owned or reheated ,, not nice”

  “The best Chinese takeaway in Kent! The crispy chilli beef is actually hot with the chilli, and they do honey king prawns which nowhere else does! (Not enough sauce last time though). And the crispy aromatic duck came shredded for us 😁😋”

  “We've used this place multiple times for takeaway, as dining in is not an option. The staff are friendly, and the food is great. They use good cuts of meat in their dishes.”

  “First time using Happy Garden and pleasantly surprised. Food was ready on time for collection. Best Chinese takeaway I've had in years! Prawn toast and mini spring rolls weren't the slightest bit oily. 😋 Szechuan King Prawn was packed with decent sized prawns. Chicken Chop Suey had lovely tender pieces of chicken breast and the Beef and green pepper in black bean sauce was really lovely. Not chewy bits of cheap offcuts. Mushroom fried rice was a perfect compliment. Huge amount of good quality food which filled our plates twice for £34. 👌 Also the free prawn crackers were the best ever. Not a hint of grease or oil. Also had a pleasant chat with the friendly owner. Highly recommend this takeaway and my wife and I have already said we'll be back to try some of the more interesting dishes from the huge menu. 11/10”

  “Get home I expect my order to be completed. Phone up to be told sorry I forgot came I come back.. yeah ok while the rest of my food is getting cold at home!! Offered free dish next time but in the meantime I’ll eat my food dry with none of the sauces. Thought Sun do was bad!”

  “We lived in Borough Green for over a decade and then left 5 years ago. Recently we visited friends in the area, and once again had a Chinese from Happy Garden. It was just as good as we remember it. In our opinion, it is one of the best Chinese takeaways in the country, and we’ve visited a few. The satay king, prawns on skewers, and the ribs in honey sauce are just two of my favourites. I used to work and eat in south east Asia a lot. To be honest, some of the dishes there are more attuned for local tastes. Over here we have a British version of ‘Chinese takeaway’ (not to be confused with more expensive Chinese restaurants). Personally Happy Garden is what my wife and I tend measure most British takeaways by. It’s right up there.”

  “Very excellent special fried rice, sweet and sour chicken and chicken curry. Beef with ginger and spring onions was also good except added lot of ordinary onion which was spoiling it. Crispy duck if left on bone for one to shred would have been better but pre shredded and heated made it hard. All told have to be selective, but overall excellent Chinese takeaway.”

  “Delicious food. Decent portion sizes and quality is always consistent. We are pescatarian and there are some lovely choices. The Szechuan style King prawns are really nice. Really recommend this takeaway, it’s worth the drive to pick up.”
