Customer Review Summary
Diners most often praise the Turkish food, especially a shared meat platter of grilled meats served on flatbread with chips, rice and salad, which one reviewer says feeds three to four people. Close behind are a lamb shank that slid off the bone and a mixed grill, though one piece of chicken was a bit tough. Hummus and flatbread also draw praise, and one lunch guest returned a second week running to try different dishes. Reviewers also mention gluten free and dairy free options, a welcome for dogs, and friendly, enthusiastic staff, including a waitress who turned down music that seemed too loud. Overnight guests describe a big comfy bed and clean rooms. The complaints are practical. One reviewer with a booked Saturday table found the building dark and locked, with the phone ringing out and no note on the door. Two others found the music or disco a little too loud. One reviewer adds that at lunchtime the place can look shut from the outside, but entry is from the car park.

“Of course. Here is a sharp, critical review based on the experience you described. ★☆☆☆☆ Utterly Unreliable - Don't Waste Your Time Booked a table for today, Saturday, after seeing the large sign on the road clearly stating they open at 12:00. We planned our afternoon around it. We arrived on time to find the entire establishment in darkness, with all doors locked and not a single person in sight. We tried calling the listed phone number multiple times, only for it to ring out with no answer. There was no note on the door, no updated message, nothing. Just a complete disregard for customers who have made a confirmed booking. This level of unprofessionalism is frankly unacceptable. It's one thing to have an emergency, but another to leave customers stranded with zero communication. A completely wasted journey and a thoroughly disappointing experience. If a restaurant can't manage the basic task of opening its doors for a booking, it doesn't deserve anyone's business. We won't be back.”

“Wow. The food here was absolutely delicious. Nestled in a bend in the road outside Carlton, I didn't know what to expect and was blown away by the quality of the food. Turkish food done super well. Flatbread, hummus, grilled meats, salad... All exceptional. It was so good we're going back next week too. Updated 2025-10-25 Back for lunch the 2nd week in a row. Tried different things from the menu this time. Superb. Be aware that at lunch time, from the outside, the restaurant may appear shut, but it's not. You should enter from the car park.”
