Quick info
About The Union Inn
The Union Inn is a pub on Fore Street in Saint Ives, with food running alongside the drinks, including roast beef, steak and ale pie and sticky toffee pudding from a specials menu. The kitchen also turns out lighter options such as tuna sandwiches, and Sunday lunch is on the rotation. Dogs are welcome inside, so four-legged companions can settle in at the table as well. The pub operates on a walk-in basis, and live music from an artist or performer plays through the room during meals.

“I ran in to the Union on a very wet afternoon in August . I wasn’t aloud to sit at a table as I was alone , so was told to sit at the bar . I ordered a bad pint of Guinness ( normally I love the creamy black stuff ) To use the toilets, I needed a code that was longer than when I worked at the tills in Barclays . The staff had either got out of bed the wrong side or just hated their jobs . If you went a Guinness, go elsewhere ! If you want a pee, spend the 50p down the road . If you want friendly staff , go to The White Stuff shop ( she was so kind and friendly ) . Sorry to be Debbie downer, but I was drenched and sat at the bar in a vest and a bad pint .”

“What a little hidden gem. I will admit when I walked through the door I wasn’t impressed, however that soon changed! We received a lovely welcome. Service was quick and very friendly. Staff happy to chat with everyone, something not many places do now. We had a couple of shandy’s while our dogs and us cooled down. We didn’t eat but wow the food being serviced looked and smelt amazing! We’ve absolutely loved our stay in Cornwall and will be gutted to head home on Sunday!”
