Quick info
About The Queens
The Queens is a pub on Saint Ives High Street, set across two floors with screens showing sport throughout the bar. The ground floor centres on football and pool tables, with a sport-led setup that runs alongside a casual drinking space. Drinks are ordered at the bar, where barstools without footholds line the counter, and dogs are welcome throughout. The pub keeps a family-friendly window during the day, with children not permitted in the later evening hours. Football fixtures draw a regular crowd, and a football table gives the back room a second game option beyond the pool table. It operates as a walk-in pub with no booking required, and the format suits groups looking for a straightforward sport-focused stop in the town centre.

“We popped in as a family group of 6 to watch sport. Plenty of screens. No atmosphere, you need to make your own. The first thing I was hit with was an overwhelming smell of bleach. I couldn’t even have a drink it was so off putting. The younger family members enjoyed the football table, my husband said the Guinness wasn’t great. The staff are very young and spent most of the time gossiping at the end of the bar. No uniform. My husband went to the bathroom and said the light wasn’t working. Suffice to say I left and got a cab home. I’m not in their demographic.”

“I tried to use the the toilets here, without realising you had to pay to use them. Without politely telling me that, the bartender instead shouted at me calling me a c*nt. It was my birthday, no one would want to hear when trying to use the toilet. Shameful man.”

“What the heck has happened to this once thriving pub! It seems to want to be a a sports bar with screens showing Boxing etc. The place was dead, I can't imagine any holiday makers go there. Children are banned at certain times. I didn't even finish my beer, seemed off.”
