Quick info
About The Castle Inn
On Fore Street in Saint Ives, The Castle Inn is a pub and bar set back from the harbour front, with wooden beams, tables, chairs and floors shaping the room inside. Rock music plays through the space, and the bar keeps things simple on the food side, offering crisps and bar snacks rather than a full kitchen. Tuesday open mic nights draw musicians and listeners into the room, while dogs are welcome inside throughout the week. Walk-ins make up most of the trade at the counter.

“Our kind of pub. Out of the way of the hustle and bustle harbour front places, wooden beams, tables chairs and floors, rock music, nice selection of drinks and friendly. Would have given 5 stars if there was a bit of food to choose when there, even if just cobs. Google says does food but there is only bar snacks/crisps.”
- Gill Graham
“Had a few drinks in here whilst waiting for table at Ardor. The place needs a damn good clean”
- Emma Stoll
“Chose to sit at a window seat until I saw one of the biggest cobwebs I’d ever seen in my life hanging there!! Would have left at this point but the drinks had already been ordered, the barmaid was possibly the most miserable person we’d encountered in st Ives and she barely spoke, didn’t smile and got the order wrong. Awful place!”

“Gemütlicher Pub, nettes Gespräch mit dem Barkeeper”

“Popped in here to get out of the sun with our dog. Bar maid was so friendly. Nice little pub.”
