“Real ales on tap, a genuinely friendly owner, and staff who are both lovely and funny, plus an honest Sunday roast. What more could you want. A clear recommendation.”

“We booked a Sunday lunch a few months back. Love a nice roast on a break. We saw mixed resent reviews. Got to see how you find it . We had a cracking Sunday lunch. Great value. The landllord was very friendly too. Along with a waiter Harry. Who was first class. They also do a pastie and a pint offer. We are are going to give that a try before heading home. Many thanks Steve C .”

“Great little home-style pub with a warm, welcoming feel. It’s small and intimate, which gives it plenty of character, and the staff were friendly, attentive and made us feel right at home. The food was great. I had the steak and ale pie and really enjoyed it, proper hearty pub food. There’s also a good variety of beers on tap, so plenty to choose from. I’d definitely recommend booking a table, as seating is limited due to the size of the pub and I can imagine it fills up quickly. A lovely, cosy little pub with good food, good beer and genuinely welcoming service. Definitely worth a visit.”
