  “Thank you to all the staff so much for our wonderful experience last night. My husband,who is coeliac, was a little concerned about eating at your beautiful restaurant( only because it was our first visit) ) I can categorically guarantee that it won’t be our last! Delicious, tasty food, fantastic staff all looked after us so well, they couldn’t have been more welcoming and reassuring. Great knowledge about gf options and food prep. Advising my husband on dishes that he’d be able to enjoy. It really felt like we could have been somewhere in Spain, enjoying our tasty tapas. We had a thoroughly great evening, and we will return. Highly recommend your terrific place. All meals were top quality. X”

  “It's been a long time since I went to the Casa Vieja. It still has the taverna feel, in the middle of St Helens, it still has great service and it is still value for money. The food is very good and feels and tastes authentic. The service is always good and the vibe is enjoyment. Thoroughly recommend”

  “14 of us visited to celebrate my sons 40th birthday . Having been to Spain many times and eaten in Spanish restaurants we love Spanish food and La Casa Vieja did not disappoint. The restaurant feels like you could be in Spain, the service was excellent and the food exceptional . A fantastic range of dishes and wonderful atmosphere. Will definitely visit again.”

  “First time visit and was my partners birthday. Service was good, food ok. Pricey for what it was and did not wow me. Run out of ALL hot desserts meaning we could only choose from chocolate mouse, egg flan or sorbet. Disappointed. Also run out of decaf coffee. Feels rushed to finish our food as checked 3 times if we were finish rather checked in first time if everything was in order. Will we return? Properly not☹️”

  “Great overall experience, tasty food and plenty of sangria. A little bit of a wait for food (60 mins) but the meatballs and beef’s were a group favourite! We got several of the chicken dishes which were nice but a bit samey, would come back!”

  “Possibly the best restaurant in St Helens. The food is absolutely delicious, and exactly like tapas in Spain. The restaurant itself is lovely, and the staff were excellent. I would highly recommend the Octopus in red wine - unreal! Will definitely return!”
