Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often single out the tandoori and tikka dishes and the peshwari naan, with one diner calling the chicken tikka the most tender they have had from a takeaway and another saying a partner found the tandoori chicken the best she has eaten. Close behind, the korma and tikka masala sauces are described as flavourful and thick, and one reviewer notes the curries were not oily. Cobra on draft gets a mention too. Staff are called friendly and professional, orders are said to arrive correct and cooked as asked, and one reviewer says the salad comes fresh in a tub. A group praises how the restaurant accommodated them. The criticism is sharper but less common: one reviewer describes arguing staff in the back, an understaffed room and a manager leaving, and found the food unbelievably salty. Another felt uncomfortable with staff watching the table from the bar. One takeaway order arrived without its onions.

“Not a bad place. Food was decent and price was too. Service was prompt but could do with less lurking over the bar looking at the table while we are eating. Was a bit uncomfortable.”

“We've just had our boxing day curry from here- wow! After trying another couple of Indian takeaways in st helens, we came across this gem in haydock. Chicken tikka was the most tender chicken I've ever had from a takeaway, well cooked and fell apart in the mouth. Sauces were lovely on the korma and tikka masala, flavourful and relatively thick too. Our onions were missing but as the rest of the order was such high quality, we weren't too fussed. Would 100% recommend!”
