About The Sharksfin
The Sharksfin is a waterfront pub-restaurant in Saint Austell, set on The Quay with tables that overlook the harbour. The menu changes daily and centres on local seafood, with salads and sandwiches alongside. Among the dishes are lemon sole, prawn linguine and a pork belly skewers starter in a Korean BBQ style. Vegan options sit on the menu, and the bar makes cocktails. Dogs are welcome. Tables can be booked in advance.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often single out the seafood, with the mussels, the prawn linguine and the lemon sole named repeatedly, and one reviewer calling the mussels the best he has ever had. Close behind are the pork belly skewers starter, described as incredible, and the passion fruit martini and dark and stormy dessert. Several mention the harbour view, and one reviewer notes a table with a view was no trouble to arrange. Staff are called friendly, helpful and pleasant, and one reviewer mentions good vegan options. The recurring caveat is cost: cocktails are called not cheap, with one reviewer noting smaller glasses than on a previous visit at a price that felt high, and food described as on the high side. One reviewer found the pork belly sold as Korean BBQ too spicy to finish, and after a discussion the issue was resolved with the spice level to be described on the next menu. Another reviewer's booking could not be found, yet staff quickly found a table. One reviewer was offered a complimentary glass of fizz for an anniversary.

“Went for dinner whilst staying in Meva for the week. Very friendly and attentive staff and food, although on the high side, was exceptionally tasty. Cocktails served in smaller glasses since our last visit so bit pricey at £11.00 each but other than that, it was a very pleasant dining experience and we will visit again next time we are in the area.”

“A busy restaurant but with lots of tables. We had chicken wings, Tomato & Squash Linguine, lemon sole and the dark and stormy night desert. Service good and food was tasty.”

“Absolutely wonderful food! The nicest meal we've had out in a long time. Highly recommend! My husband said they were the best mussels he's ever had, and that's quite a statement coming from him! Staff and atmosphere were great too! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“Only stopped for a coffee which was very nice. Table by the window overlooking the busy harbour. If we have time we would love to go back for a meal.”
