Customer Review Summary
Chicken is what most reviewers come back to, whether as roast chicken with chips and salad, chicken shawarma, or a chicken sandwich in samsa bread with pickles, red cabbage and salad, which one diner calls juicy. Lamb shawarma, donner and a mixed shawarma get mentions too, and regulars describe generous portions and friendly staff who keep their good humour even when the place is busy. A couple of diners call the prices cheap or not overpriced. The complaints are specific. One reviewer received cold food with mostly burnt lamb and reports that a staff member handled orders without washing his hands. Another found the chips dry and hard and the chicken overdone and barely moist. A third felt the chicken and salad portion was small for the price, and a fourth had two recent orders cancelled after waiting. One wanted a little more sauce. Reviewers also mention the ayran drink, sometimes handed out free, and the complimentary self-serve tea, of which one regular pours two cups every visit.

“I had a really disappointing experience at Gaza Shawarma. The food was nowhere near what I expected based on the rating. The chips were massively overcooked—dry, hard, and almost inedible. The chicken was even worse. It was so overdone that it felt like I was eating a rock, with barely any moisture or flavour left in it. Honestly, it seemed like everything had been left on the heat far too long, completely ruining the texture and taste. I couldn’t even finish my meal. Definitely not worth the money, and I won’t be coming back.”
