  “After travelling all day for work, I stopped at Cuckoo’s Takeaway to collect some naan and sauces to go with a curry I had made at home. While waiting, I politely asked to use the toilet and was sent upstairs. When I got there, another member of staff told me there wasn’t a toilet there and sent me back downstairs, where I was then questioned about my order and who had sent me up. The whole interaction was rude, embarrassing, and completely unnecessary. I left without using the toilet, collected my food, and drove home. Very unprofessional service—I won’t be returning.”

  “Unfortunately the curry portions have reduced rapidly...they used to give large portions in the silver foil containers now they use the small plastic containers and price us still the same...don't get your monies worth anymore .. they've lost my custom”

  “The order never arrived. The uber driver never brought my package and when I called the restaurant, the receptionist or whatever was really rude to me and said I should call uber to ask for a refund but uber never gave me a refund and he said he can’t do anything about it even if I showed him proof of my ordering and the food not coming. Terrible company and I strongly don’t recommend anyone should buy their products!!!”

  “Very disappointing food. The £3 pulao was nothing more than dry, tasteless steamed rice and the portion was extremely small. The £1 samosa was also very tiny and not worth the money. This place does not offer good value for what they charge.”

  “Good prices. Went for a family meal. Had a variety of food . Started with the masala fish which most people on reviews said was a must try but it wasn't too special. We also had Naan with lamb donner and seekh kebab cheese burger meal and lamb karahi with naan. Few years later... Have STOPPED going here now. No good anymore. Food is nowhere near how it used to be.”

  “February 21 2023 something has sadly changed at cuckoo’s. Curry’s smaller not as tasty , rice dry, I am wondering has worldwide leased this place to someone as this is not the usual quality . Sad to see used to be one of the best Returned August 2024 Toilets from hell avoid ! No idea last time they have been cleaned if ever . Food edible sheikh kebabs cooked fresh bunch chicken donner old and dry , fried fish very greasy . Now they don’t give jugs of water just sell bottled which is poor . Nihari tasty but death by microwave. Only thing fresh was the rotis I am afraid . Not so cheap £40 but bearable”

  “I went for the grilled chicken - it’s amazing. Beautifully seasoned and cooked. Everything tastes so fresh, the naan and the salad. We didn’t go for the fish, but seeing it freshly cooked persuaded us and we did not regret it a bit. It was cooked to perfection. They really have refined the recipes. This is one of those places that invests in the areas that matter - namely, the quality of the food 👌”

  “Was recommended this by a relative. I wish they had a place like this in Leeds. I have to travel to Bradford to eat a top notch karahi. The lamb karahi was phenomenal, the biryani, spot on, the nan, delicious!!!! 😋 Do not be fooled by the looks of this place. It’s not your fancy go to but if you want authentic handi. Here’s your place!!!”
