Customer Review Summary

Reviewers return most for the cake, with a large slice and hot vanilla latte singled out, plus a scone, a Jaffa cake cake and a chicken burger. Seating is large indoors and out, and dog water bowls get a mention. The recurring complaint is slow service: queuing to order, a drinks wait that ran past the quoted ten minutes, and a baby chino lid that took ages.

“Good coffee and very nice food. Having the quiet area is helpful, specially when it's busy. Park run on Sat morning can make it impossible to park.”

“Wonderful cafe, a must visit! I’ve been to this cafe countless of times over the years as it’s a part of Rickmansworth aquadrome park. It has the most kindest, polite and friendly staff who provide an excellent service. Many variety of cakes, food and drinks to choose from to really tickle your tastebuds! You have a large portion of cake which is great value for money. I particularly love their hot vanilla lattes which is perfect to drink whilst in their large seating area. They have a large seated area both inside and out for all weather types. With greenery in the summer time for picnics in the park. Several parks seconds away for the children to play whilst you enjoy your food and drinks. Toilets including disabled a park of the cafe. They have a large car park which gives you so much opportunity to have a family day out. For days like myself who prefer a more peaceful vibe I love to visit in the day time and grab a latte and slice of cake - read my book at their seated area and once finished take a stroll around the aquadrome to get my steps in with some nice crisp fresh air. The have takeaway options for their food and drinks too! Their lunch deals are wonderful and I often visit for these whilst walking there on my lunch break. Beautiful views of all the swans and ducks are a bonus! Ice cream vans outside of the cafe too for the summer - I would also grab a wonderful cold ice drink in the summer from the cafe as they are also delicious!!! What I love the most is they are kid and dog friendly! They will happily bring out dog water bowls for your fur baby which I think is adorable! Overall a great experience which I always return! The area is very safe and makes you feel comfortable. Highly recommended”

“A well-loved resource which is always busy. Great place to stop after a walk around the lakes or along the canal.”

“Unfortunately as others have pointed out it takes a very long time to actually order and subsequently get your food or drinks. As a vegetarian with some allergies I also found the menu lacking, and a little unclear - it would be useful to have what’s on “today” at the front prior to the queue. The staff I met were very nice, and the location is lovely.”

“The cafe is mediocre. Not much variety. Went there twice, both times ice-cream machine was out of order.”
