Customer Review Summary
Breakfast plates draw the most mentions at Red Onion Cafe, with reviewers singling out the English breakfast of scrambled eggs, seasoned potatoes, chicken sausages and a spicy baked bean sauce, and the Hinglish breakfast, which one reviewer calls delicious. Close behind is the garden courtyard at the back, described as a perfect spot to sit and relax and a cute outdoor area for breakfast. Reviewers also name the roc burger, a chicken schnitzel foccacia, a feta wrap, bacon cooked to perfection, red velvet cake, and iced coffees, one called refreshing and a good portion size. Several praise generous portions and good coffee. Staff come up repeatedly as friendly, kind, warm and welcoming, and one reviewer says service was quick on a Saturday morning. Vegan and vegetarian options get a mention, as does the dog-friendly setup. No complaints appear in the reviews. One reviewer notes the baked bean sauce has a spicy kick and suggests it can probably be ordered mild, which is where the reviews leave the detail.

“They have a great garden outside that I only noticed on my way out, but it looks like a great spot to sit in. The food was great. I had the English breakfast - scrambled eggs, seasoned potatoes, chicken sausages and that sweet, tasty baked bean sauce on the side. It had a great spicy kick to it, which I loved (though you can probably ask for it mild or non-spicy if you prefer). Highly recommend!”

“Lovely terrance out the back, attentive service and good coffee and very tasty (with generous portions!) food.”
