About Daise By Tony Parkin
Daise By Tony Parkin is a restaurant on Rose Mount in Prenton, run by a husband-and-wife team. The kitchen centres on a tasting menu that changes with the seasons and draws on local produce. Dishes include Hen Of The Woods, Newlyn Monkfish and Belted Galloway Beef. Guests can add an optional wine pairing made up of English and local wines, so the drinks follow the same local approach as the food. Waiters explain each dish and wine as it is served, and chefs come out to serve some courses and talk with guests. That puts the people who cook the food in direct contact with the table. The dining room is small, which keeps the whole evening within reach of the two people who run it.

Customer Review Summary
Most reviewers centre on the tasting menu with wine pairing, praising how each course lands and how the wines genuinely link to the food. Diners single out the oysters as something else, the pork as lush even for someone who doesn't usually eat pork, and the Tarleton raspberry dessert, though several struggle to pick a favourite because every dish stood out. One self-described fussy eater enjoyed every course. Close behind is the hosting, described as warm, friendly and unrushed, in a relaxed, homely room with a killer soundtrack. The menu changes seasonally with local ingredients, and one reviewer urges booking the tasting menu with the wine pairing and letting it wash over you. Several mention the husband and wife team and the wine recommendations at the table. Waiters explain each dish and wine, and the chefs bring out some courses and stop to chat, so diners see who made the food.

“Amazing lunch at Daise today. It's not just the food that makes Daise exceptional it's the warmth and welcome from Laura and Tony. They take their time to welcome you, talk to you and actually listen. At no time was anything rushed and each dish was explained by Tony as it was served. Hard to pick a favourite dish as they all had something outstanding about them but being sweet toothed I'd go for the Tarleton raspberry.”

“Went for dinner at Daise on a Wednesday night. Such a fantastic place - ran by a lovely couple. We were made to feel so welcome by Laura who had amazing wine recommendations. And then the food that followed was incredible. The vibe was so homely and relaxed, we really enjoyed ourselves. We will be back!”

“Arguably the best meal I’ve ever had. I had previously eaten at Tony’s restaurant in Waterford and the food was just as exceptional. What really stands out though is the chance to eat food of this level in such a relaxing environment with a killer soundtrack. I don’t want to speak about the dishes, book the tasting menu and wine pairing and let it wash over you. The husband and wife duo doing it alone and absolutely nailing it… highly recommend.”

“Simply wow! Food was innovative and delicious- we loved every course of the tasting menu and presentation was beautiful. I’m quite a fussy eater so normally find one or two courses of tasting menus ‘not for me’ but I really enjoyed everything about this menu. Service was incredibly friendly and professional and wine paring was perfect. Definitely our best dining experience to date- can’t wait to return!”

“All the food was excellent and everything complemented each other on each plate. The service was exceptional and the waiters couldn’t do more for you. Me and my partner very much enjoyed our evening and will definitely come back. We went on a voucher booking so only cost us £62.50 for drinks and service but would say it’s definitely worth the full value of which was £200.”
