“The food is cooked well, hot and delicious. And it all tastes and looks fresh. Love this Chinese. Don't listen to the naysayers. Some people will complain if they didn't send a toothpick. Try it yourself, you won't be disappointed.”

“Had bad stomach after the prawns. The chow mein and mushrooms looked like they had been there days.”

“Sadly I thought i'd give this chinese a go on a Friday night. Go in and put in a normal order of fried rice and chips with curry sauce. Bloke behind the counter had 0 training and knew nothing about the dishes. When i got home with my food - fried rice is covered in a sauce with soggy lettuce yuck. Curry sauce is worse than the powered stuff u buy in supermarket. Mixed starter - asked for soft ribs couldnt have been dried more with 0 meat on. Chips are just terrible frozen chips. Gooey slimy chicken comes as a lovely addition. Let's hope im not ill tomorrow 🤢”

“I had not used this takeaway in a while. Will never use again. Ordered £62.00 worth of various items. At approx 18.17pm. I called takeaway 19.30pm as still not arrived always an abrupt woman answers the phone! I was told just being bagged up? Called again at 19.50pm. Still not arrived? Finally turned up 20.17pm 2 hours after I ordered it. I feel food had been left out. As Mixed sweet sour balls all soft like a pancake dough. Not very hot. Normally these are crispy batter . Also deep fried shredded chilli beef all soft. Worst part in early hours of morning. I had bad diarrhoea. Which is being tested. By Doctors to see if it's this takeaway food. That made me unwell. As my partner did not eat the sweet sour balls but I did. Terrible.”

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers split sharply on Lee Garden, and the curries and sweet and sour chicken balls come up most among the praise. Satisfied customers describe food that is hot, fresh and not greasy, with quick, friendly service, and one regular calls it their favourite Chinese near Portchester after years of orders. A first-time diner ordered three curries and the chicken balls and says it will be their go-to. The criticism is detailed. Several reviewers describe soggy crispy chilli beef, tired-tasting egg fried rice, dried-out ribs, frozen-tasting chips and a curry sauce they rate below supermarket powder. One says the sweet and sour balls arrived soft and not hot after an order that took about two hours. Another received special chow mein instead of the fried rice they twice repeated over the phone. One reviewer reports being ill after the prawns, and another reports a bad stomach after eating there, while a third says the chow mein and mushrooms looked days old. Even the mixed reviews credit the speed and the hot food.
