  “First visit here & it won't be the last. Dined tonight with friends & everyone enjoyed it. The food was delicious especially the appetisers we had 2 helping of, the mussels, Thai fishcakes & spare ribs in capital sauce were our favourites. Staff were lovely too. 👍”

  “The food was fresh and beautifully presented, especially. Staff were warm and attentive throughout the meal, and the atmosphere felt calm and authentic. Definitely one of the better Asian restaurants I’ve tried recently — would happily come back again.”

  “Bamboo Leaf Poole – Would not return The restaurant was uncomfortably cold the whole time we were there. I had to keep my jacket on throughout the meal, which made it impossible to relax or enjoy it. Cleanliness was below average (around 5/10) and didn’t feel up to restaurant standards. Even something as basic as a drink was wrong — the Coke was flat, which suggests poor attention to detail. The starters were okay but very small for the price. The crispy duck was passable but nothing memorable. The main course was the worst part. It was soaked in oil, soggy, and overloaded with salt. The chicken curry was especially bad — it had only two pieces of chicken, and the sauce tasted like gravy with spice added, not like a proper curry at all. Overall, the food quality was poor, the atmosphere was uncomfortable, and the value for money was terrible. This was a very disappointing experience and I would not recommend eating here.”

  “Bamboo Leaf Poole – Extremely disappointing This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The restaurant was freezing cold — I had to keep my jacket on the entire time, which already ruined any chance of enjoying the meal. Cleanliness was poor, around 5/10 at best, and didn’t inspire confidence. To make things worse, the Coke was flat, which says a lot about the overall standards. The starters were just about okay, but the portions were very small for the price. The crispy duck was average and nothing special. The main course was absolutely horrible. It was covered in oil, completely soggy, and overloaded with salt. The chicken curry barely had any chicken — only two small pieces — and the sauce tasted like plain gravy with a bit of spice thrown in. It was unpleasant and poorly made. Overall, this place is not worth your money at all. Bad food, uncomfortable atmosphere, and poor quality control. I would strongly recommend going elsewhere. Do not waste your money here.”

  “Nice Chinese restaurant doing all you can eat. Found service slow so much so didn’t bother ordering more food after first lot mains and second tiger beer was not that cold so must ran out and restocked fridge as first one was ice cold. Would recommend if Chinese is what you fancy and lots to choice to try different things being all you can eat”

  “Really nice experience at Bamboo Leaf the staff were pleasant and knowledgeable about the dishes they recommended. Food was tasty and cooked to order. My only real criticism is the cost of the beer. Quite pricey at £5.20 for a pint. Other than that I would certainly go again.”

  “The perfect blend between the choice of buffet and the quality of restaurant service. Since each dish is slight smaller than normal, we ordered loads of different dishes - it was a nice change to be able to eat all of our favourite dishes in one visit! Would definitely recommend!”
