  “My family and I visited Buffet City a couple of days ago for Father's Day. The food was as good as I remember and all of the staff extremely friendly and helpful. I thoroughly recommend this establishment for decent food at a reasonable price. Thanks to the manager for my free glass too!”

  “Food was great, and full of flavour. We went back for more, many times. Atmosphere could be improved but there was music and fans ahead. Deserts were minimal but still nice. Service was good and very friendly. We will definitely come back again.”

  “Had a lovely time when visiting with my baby daughter. They went out of their way to make sure she was comfortable due to her having difficulty sitting up so they made her a soft rest for her head. They also told us she can eat for free. All the staff were amazing. The food was also so such better than anticipated. All containers were full and constantly topped up and the atmosphere was relaxed and appropriately chihese with light cultural music which we love. Looking forward to visiting again.”

  “A solid Asian buffet in Plymouth. If you’ve lived here a while, you know it’s not easy to find a place that stays consistent, but this one does. Good variety across Chinese, Japanese and Thai dishes, and the food is regularly topped up, which makes a big difference. The hot food is well seasoned and not just aimed at tourists. Staff are friendly and quick to clear tables, so it never feels chaotic. For the price, it’s very reasonable by Plymouth standards. A reliable spot for a casual meal with family or friends — we’ll definitely be back.”

  “Read many reviews on Buffet City but you can sometimes never know if people have an axe to grind until you give it ago yourself. As we entered we was greeted and asked if we had been to Buffet City before which we hadn't. 1st we had to go to the bar and pay for the buffet and drinks if we wanted to order. I've no problem with this as we pay before we eat in many Buffet restruants. Before payment we were asked if we would like to look at the buffet before committing ourselves. We paid for the buffet and was guided to the table with our drinks to follow. Then we were free to help ourselves. I would say there's about 30 to 35 dishes to choose from ok not the biggest buffet but plenty to have a varied meal. Sweetcorn and chicken soup to start nice flavour very well executed. All the rice and noodle dishes were also very good. Protein was also very good if I had a little constructive criticism is the lemon and sweet and sour sauce could of been thicker but that's only a personal opinion. All in all it was really good and for less than £11 each its extremely good value. Cant comment on the sweet offering as we over ate on our main course. All dishes I must add were hot we didn't have one dish that was cold. We would definitely return to Buffet City if we were in Plymouth again. A big thankyou to Grace who looked after us she was super friendly and very welcoming. My thoughts are for £11 it's worth trying yourself as like us you could be pleasantly suprised.”

  “I honestly wasn’t expecting much when I walked into this Chinese restaurant, but I was absolutely blown away. From the moment I stepped in, the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. The waiter even showed me the food before I paid, just to make sure I was happy with what was on offer – that kind of service is rare these days! What really shocked me was the huge variety available for the price. Lamb, prawns, crab, beef – all included, and everything looked and tasted fresh. The quality was far beyond what I expected for such a reasonable price. The staff were attentive throughout, constantly topping things up and making sure nothing ran low. The place also seemed to hold a good standard of hygiene. Tables were cleaned straight away, and the whole restaurant felt well cared for. As I left, every member of staff said goodbye – a really nice touch that left a great final impression. For the price, you really can’t go wrong. I’ll definitely be coming back! One bad point music was little annoying”

  “This was Chinese type food but without much flavour. Lots of beige fried food on offer. Sadly found the vegetables too late. But there were some deserts and the young one had plenty eat”

  “Good variety of food for a buffet. I have been visiting this place since 2017 and it is lovely to see that the interiors have been upgraded along with the Menu. Good value for money in terms of the quality of food. It’s an all you can eat buffet and the location is very family friendly. Although staff are not that friendly - something that has not improved at all over the years! Make sure to make a booking beforehand as it can get busy sometimes!”
