“We came here for breakfast because we were hiring a boat close by and our expectations were honestly not high. We were thinking “greasy spoon”. But, this was completely unfair as The Mess Room serves delicious filling dishes using fresh produce. The service was excellent and the team work so well together to meet all requests. I am coeliac and so can only eat gluten free food. I explained this to one of the staff and immediately understood the issue and told me what I could and could not eat from the dishes on the menu. They even made me gluten free whole meal toast. Being coeliac can make it hard to find gluten free food when you are out and about. When people react so kindly and are well-informed it really makes my day. Thank you so much”

“It used to be one of my favourite breakfast spots but its absolutely dropped off in quality. I went there today and was served undercooked Hashbrowns, we sent them back and each time they came out soft and mushy, we spoke to them twice about it and after the third time asked for a refund. The excuse was that they cook them on the flat top, if you do not have the equipment to cook them properly don't serve them it should be that simple. Left still feeling hungry and its unfortunately the last time I eat at a spot I have really enjoyed”
