  “Finally made it to the Plymstock inn last sunday after wanting to go since they started. Over all it was a good meal and worth the money and I did enjoy earing it. Favourite items were the beef and the stuffing. I feel there are a few improvements that could be made. On a Sunday I think Lamb should also be offered. Beef pork and gammon is good but you get more choices at other carvery's i've been too. I did enjoy the veg. However the potatoes were ok but were weren't the best i've and i'. Very fussy with potatoes. The bigger let down was the gravy it was so watery and had little to no flavour. Thankfully the cheese sause bala ced that out for me if it i hadn't got that I think I would have been disappointed. It i was giving it a mark out of 10. It would be a solid 7/8 out of 10. So this isnt a bad review just a few small tweaks abd it would have been 10 out of 10. I dont know it something went wrong with the gravy that day but it wasnt very good at all. I think we made £17 each so its not to most expensive roast i've had but definitely not the cheapest. Leave on a positive note. Its dog friends whixh I love and the staff are always very friendly thank you”

  “We booked a table for 4 then rang to change to 6 when we arrived the staff hadn’t been told it changed to 6 so I helped them get the table ready . The menus and table was very sticky and had to ask for more cutlery and napkins . We had 1 Adult and 5 Large Carvery’s which we were all very dissatisfied with the meat which was very fatty and in edible there wasn’t a Vegetarian choice , the roast potatoes had not seen any oil as was extremely large and anaemic the rest of the veg was ok but under seasoned. It was such a shame as we had heard such good reviews about the roasts . We have eaten many times here and always enjoyed the food but this meal was not good . Not one member of staff came to do a check back and the plates were still on the table when we left . Shame !!”

  “Weve only given 3 for atmosphere because everyone else was outside 😂 but we could then hear each other! The steaks were cooked very well 1 rare, 1 medium rare and 1 medium our 4th member had ham egg & chips and he was pleased with that. It was steak offer night so we had a free drink as well! Pleased with everything and will visit again!”

  “We’ve eaten here twice over the past couple weeks and found the female staff particularly welcoming and pleasant. The lunchtime barman, although not rude to us but we saw him a few times very rude to some elderly customers. We arrived both times when they had just opened and only ordered ciabattas. We waited on both occasions 45minutes to an hour.If we were eating a dish that had to cooked and took time to prepare we wouldn’t have minded the wait so much and would have allowed more time but a ciabatta ! When you are eating in your lunchtime this is frustrating. The food was pretty average for the money and we have had better quality elsewhere and cheaper. I will say I think it was possibly the manager did apologise for the slow service and was very friendly.”

  “We came as a group of 6 and had reserved a table but due to the weather we sat outside which was no issue. Its an order at the bar place, so when it's busy you came be little while waiting to be served to order food in amongst the drinkers. The food was a 10/10. We had 2 sharer boards, a ham egg and chips and a burger. The sharer boards are advertised as for 2 people but they are massive, it could feed 3 people easily. We were defeated and took the left overs home. The menu should really say 3 people, I know it sounds bad to winge about too much food but we wouldve not ordered a whole other meal. The food was tasty and you can tell cooked fresh to order, waitress polite and friendly. Im glad to see this pub doing well in the community once again. Big free car park, wheelchair accessible”

  “Paid a visit here today Thurs 25th June 26. Lovely food curry of the day, fish chips peas great. Very friendly staff. Outdoor seating and shade areas with umbrellas. Thank you very much couldnt fault it at all. Keep up the good work to all the staff. We come again and visit.”

  “Had a birthday lunch for my mum today. Friendly and attentive staff. The food was plentiful and lovely. My daughter and I had the steak in red wine pie with roast potatoes and fresh veg. My son had a Plymstock burger, bro had the ham egg and chips which was huge,- 2 eggs, salad, chips coleslaw etc - and mother had a carvery and she says it was lovely. The portions are good and none of us cleared our plates but not for want of trying. Extremely good value as our main meals were included in the 2 for £25. The carvery was cheaper as my mum is a senior. Well worth the drive. Lovely pub and we will go again.”

  “We popped in for Sunday lunch, we had a carvery of beef, it was lovely and pink meat with all the trimmings of about 9 vegetables. Very enjoyable with good service. We will return as it was very enjoyable.”

  “Carvery was delicious & you get a bowl of beef brisket with a pig in blanket if you order the large. Good was cooked to perfection 😋. A wife range of vegetables. Very friendly & helpful staff 🥰. Will most definitely be going again .”

  “Went here for a Sunday carvery and what a meal it was brilliant very well cooked and delicious. Service at the was good to. Toilets clean and plenty of seating indoors and outdoors . Lovely well laid out beer garden with a superb play area for the kids. Massive car park too. Highly recommend you book if coming for a meal.”
