About The Jack Rabbit
The Jack Rabbit is a country-style inn and pub at 8 Bracken Ln in Plymouth, serving lunch, dinner and drinks. The seasonal menu runs to three courses with desserts, and steak is one of the dishes on it. Cask ales sit alongside a cocktail list and a wider drink menu. A private dining room gives groups a space of their own, and dogs are welcome. The team can point out dairy free and gluten free options and accommodate allergies.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often praise the food, with one reviewer still searching for a steak as good as the one eaten on a family visit, and another enjoying a crumble with an extra jug of custard after joking about "lashings". Close behind is the service, described as friendly and attentive, including servers who pointed out which dishes worked for dairy free and gluten free diners. Cocktails are called well made and top tier, and several reviewers describe the food as fresh and good value. Several suggest booking a table, and one notes a Saturday evening with no spare tables. Another points to the deals and loyalty scheme for money off. The main complaint comes from one reviewer who had reserved yet waited five minutes at the entrance, unacknowledged by passing waitresses, until they went to find a table themselves, though they still praised the food and their waiter. One reviewer, visiting after the death of a father, describes the manager cancelling parking tickets issued while the family sat outside with drinks.

“Have been to the Jack Rabbit on a few occasions but most recently was after the passing of my father. In shock after being at the hospital for weeks myself and my siblings went to have a drink and process. We not having straight thoughts forgot to register our registration inside for the parking as it was a dry day so were sat outside with our drinks. We then received parking tickets which the manager graciously had cancelled as they knew we were customers that day. Something so simply as a ticket on one of the worst days of your life and a simple kindness of the pub overturning them proves the welcoming and caring establishment it is. I would recommend the Jack Rabbit highly and I thank them once again for their kindness in such a difficult time for us.”

“Had a great experience at Jack Rabbit and will definitely be coming back. The atmosphere was welcoming and lively without being too loud, making it perfect for both casual drinks and a relaxed meal. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure we had a good time. The food was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and well presented. Everything we ordered came out quickly and tasted amazing. The drink menu was also impressive, with a nice variety of cocktails and beverages that were well made and reasonably priced. Overall, this place really stands out for its great service, quality food, and comfortable vibe. Highly recommended whether you’re stopping by for a drink, dinner, or a night out with friends 🥳 Lunch menu had a good selection for meals x”

“Came here in May to see family. My boyfriend had the steak and has been trying to find one as nice since! All the food was really good and is a firm favourite to go to when we travel down! :) Reccomend booking a table.”

“Fantastic service and beautiful food, I will 100% be visiting again prior to my next hospital visit. I chose to have dinner here as I was staying at the TravelLodge opposite. I was seated in a nice quiet corner and the staff took really good care of me. They were kind, attentive, and made me feel really welcome. The food was absolutely divine! Very good value. Can’t wait to come back :-)”

“We came for our first date night following the birth of our baby and it was lovely! Our waiter tom was amazing! I have had to go dairy free for my daughter's allergies and he was great in pointing out what I could and couldn't have or whether meals could be made dairy free but I couldn't say I noticed a taste difference! The food was lovely and we never felt rushed with our 3 courses. Will definitely be back again!”
