About Zufa Hatch End
Zufa Hatch End is a Lebanese restaurant on Uxbridge Rd in Pinner, run by a family whose first restaurant opened in 1990 in Tannourine, in the mountains of North Lebanon. The kitchen makes everything from scratch, including the home-made saj bread. The menu spans hot and cold mezze, charcoal-grilled meats and fish, and Lebanese desserts. Chilli halloumi is among the starters, lahm meshwi is among the grilled meats, and a mixed grill for two is also listed. The bar pours Lebanese wines, arak and cocktails. Zufa is open daily, with breakfast from Friday to Sunday and a two-course lunch on weekdays. The space can be hired privately for up to 60 seated guests or 80 standing, which suits larger groups. The team also caters across Pinner, Harrow, Northwood, Ruislip and Stanmore.

Customer Review Summary
Lamb is the dish reviewers return to most: the lamb shank is called tender and full of flavour, and the lamb kebab extremely succulent. Close behind are the chilli halloumi, described as nicely spicy, and the lahm meshwi, with the vegetable bamieh rice noted for its tangy sauce. Staff are often called friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is described as relaxed, warm and chilled, with Lebanese wine and al fresco dining mentioned once. The complaints cluster around the lunch set menu and grilled meat. Two reviewers found the chicken dry, including a shish touk that looked like a children's meal, and both said they filled up mainly on chips. Another found the mixed grill lamb chops full of gristle and fat. One reviewer reports slow service, cold chips, bread and spicy potatoes, and no apology, and another says a plate was cleared mid-meal and a promised house cake appeared on the bill. One diner says the sauces only arrived once asked for.

“Very disappointed with our recent visit to Zuffa in Hatch End. The service was extremely slow from start to finish. We had to ask for water three separate times before it was finally brought to the table, which was frustrating and unacceptable. When we were ready to leave, it took around 15 minutes just to get someone to bring the bill and process the payment. To make matters worse, when issues were raised, there was no apology from any member of staff. The lack of customer service and basic courtesy was extremely disappointing. The food quality has also gone downhill. Much of the food arrived cold, including the chips, bread and spicy potatoes. The spicy potatoes were not only cold but also of poor quality. What is most disappointing is that Zuffa used to be a great place to eat, but it no longer offers the quality or service that made it popular. Considering the prices being charged, the experience was poor value for money and certainly not worth the cost. Sadly, based on this visit, I would not recommend Zuffa and hope management takes immediate steps to improve both the food quality and customer service.”

“Tried this place in Hatch End which was surprisingly very good. Ordered their house special - lamb shank - and it was very tender and full of flavours. The waitress, Thea was superb. Looked after us and gave some good recommendations which were all highly appreciated. Will definitely be revisiting this place again.”

“The food at zufa is very deep. I think the vegetable bamieh rice would be better as the meat version, but it was a pleasant texture with a interesting tangy sauce. The lamb kebab was extremely succulent . Staff are kind and service is quick. Wait staff could be more informed on the ingredients. The vibe is very chill and enjoyable. No notes really.”
