Quick info
About Lomito
Lomito is an Argentinian steakhouse in Northwood, on Green Ln, with a subterranean bar below the dining room. The menu is built around steak in six cuts, and a steak sharer lets a table try four of them, which suits groups who want to compare. Crab croquetas are among the starters, and sticky toffee pudding is the dessert. Tables are by reservation only, so a visit starts with a booking. The kitchen and cooking pass sit near the entrance, in view of diners as they arrive.

Customer Review Summary
Steak is the clear draw at Lomito, with diners praising ribeye, sirloin, rump, T-bone and a tomahawk that arrives charred outside and juicy within, cooked as requested. One party shared a steak sampler to try four cuts, and another singled out a fillet with macaroni cheese. Close behind are the starters, especially crab croquetas described as creamy and melt in the mouth, along with empanadas, grilled prawns and tuna ceviche. Sides earn their own mentions, notably organic mashed potatoes with beef gravy. Desserts such as sticky toffee pudding and banofee pie come up in several reviews, and drinks draw praise too, from cocktails to the house malbec and house lager. Service is described as friendly and attentive. The one lukewarm note comes from a reviewer who remembered the steak only as nice and preferred the small plates, including the tender pork. A couple of diners also enjoyed the kitchen working right at the entrance, where the cooking on the pass is visible as guests walk in.

“Always a pleasure dining at Lomito! We've visited multiple times now, and the experience never disappoints. The service is consistently excellent, the atmosphere is lovely, and the steaks are an absolute joy. We've tried pretty much every starter on the menu, and while they're all worth exploring, the beef is undoubtedly the star of the show. There's a reason Lomito is known for its steaks, and it certainly lives up to its reputation. If you appreciate a properly cooked, quality steak, you won't be disappointed. Highly recommended!”

“Lomito, Northwood 🇦🇷 Had a really lovely dinner at Lomito and it was such a satisfying Argentine experience from start to finish. The starters were packed with flavour and set the tone for the meal, paired with a really nice glass of wine. The tomahawk steak was the star of the evening — beautifully charred on the outside, juicy and tender inside, and absolutely loaded with flavour. The kind of steak you keep going back to even when you think you’ve had enough. 🥩 And then came the sticky toffee pudding, which was the perfect way to finish — warm, indulgent and just the right amount of sweet. Great food, good wine and a lovely atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if you’re around Northwood.”

“Called up last minute to see if a table was available right then and there. Was told they had 1 free but only for an hour. Which was perfect as me and my husband just wanted eat and go. From arrival, the service was brilliant. The food was so tasty, we had the steak sharer so we could try abit of all 4 cuts which was delicious. Couldn't fault anything. We will back!”

“What a great little steakhouse in an otherwise unassuming, albeit pleasant part of Northwood. From the moment we were welcomed in, despite being an hour early, a great table was shown to us and in minutes we had our chosen drinks, all the menus needed, and time given to delve into the Argentinian delights on offer. Just what you want. Our starters of crab croquetas, bellinis and empanadas were all excellently cooked, full of flavour, very fresh tasting and well priced for the decent portions. The (obvious) mains of ribeye and sirloin steans were met with delight, beautifully cooked to medium, charred gently and super juicy without bleeding - even Gaucho get this wrong at times. The sides of organic mashed potatoes blew us away, it's genuinely worthy of any pie and mash establishment I've been to in London and the beef gravy is ridiculously good, seriously! The house malbec and great coffee brought it all home nicely and the bill was surprisingly light for 2 people who were very well fed and watered. It was also good to see lunchtime customers walking in and the cooking on the pass near the front added further warmth to the atmosphere, which I imagine is a real treat in the evening when the restaurant is full. That'll be for our next visit to this wonderful gem. Don't hesitate to give Lomito a try if you're hankering for an authentic and friendly dining experience.”
