Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often single out the Afghan ice cream, with the pistachio and mango flavours named as standouts, though one diner did not like the vanilla. Close behind are the platters, including the Kings Platter and one with falling-off-the-bone lamb shank, and the Chapli kabab, called perfectly seasoned and juicy by a regular. Others praise the kabuli pilau, the Afghan burger, the lamb shawarma, a mango lassi and saffron tea with cardamom. Several describe the curtained private booths as comfortable, and the staff as friendly, kind and quick. Some call the atmosphere warm and homely, and one mentions the late opening hours. The one recurring-style complaint comes from a reviewer who found the Afghan floor seating was only hard carpet with no cushions, and said the regular tables were more cushioned. Reviewers also describe takeaway food arriving well presented in its packaging, and several finish a meal with the ice cream, with one saying they would drive three hours for it alone.

“Absolutely amazing experience at Kabul Korner! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 They have these lovely little private rooms where you can sit and eat, closed off with a curtain, so comfortable to lean back and relax in. The food was fabulous, we had an amazing platter and had to try the Afghan burger and lamb shawarma, both incredible. The tea was lovely too, and they also have this amazing Afghan ice cream for dessert. Definitely worth visiting”

I genuinely have no words. You mean to say that the pistachio ice cream in the photo is a SMALL. “This place is fun! Good music, from buzzing bhangra-type beats to wistful flutes, a floor scheme with curtained private booths, and very approachable staff - I would like to come here again. I only had Saffron tea, with a generous pinch of scarlett strands on a very gritty looking base. I asked if it was road dirt, all the way from Kabul, but actually it's powdered cardamom. Really delicious 😋.”
