The Fitzwilliam Arms
Quick info
About The Fitzwilliam Arms
The Fitzwilliam Arms is a pub on Stamford Rd in Peterborough, serving British dishes alongside ales and wine. A tablet shows which dishes may contain a given allergen, and the full ingredients list is available for menu items, so guests with allergies can check a dish before they order. Sunday lunch includes a trio of roasts. The main menu also lists steaks, burgers and chicken parmigiana, with vegan and vegetarian choices alongside. Sticky toffee pudding sits among the desserts. Tables can be booked, and a private dining room gives larger groups a space of their own.

Customer Review Summary
Sunday roasts draw the most mentions, with diners praising the trio of roasts and a Sunday roast the chefs prepared well. Close behind are steaks cooked exactly as ordered, chicken parmigiana, burgers, and sticky toffee pudding, with a good choice of vegan and vegetarian dishes and a kids menu one family said fully satisfied a big appetite. Several reviewers single out the allergy handling, describing a full ingredients list for every menu item and a tablet that shows which dishes contain a given allergen. Servers are repeatedly called friendly and attentive, and the chefs get direct thanks in several reviews. The recurring drawbacks are small: one reviewer found service a little slow during a busy group booking, and another found it loud enough that a cozy conversation was harder. One family had a good luck message added to their daughter's dessert.

“We visited at dinner time. Excellent allergy information, gave my wife the entire ingredients list for everything they have on the menu allowing her to safely choose what she wanted. Don’t get that in many places. The beer was cold…excellent. The food was hot and came quickly, was really good! Jess and Gemma were really nice and helpful and very friendly. Can’t wait to eat here again.”
